My Favorite Things Blog Hop!!!

Edited to add: The blog candy contest is now over and the winner is: Karen (Gamblemom)!!! Congrats, Karen!!!

Welcome to my stop on the My Favorite Things' mid-June Blog Hop! I'm so excited to be participating in the first blog hop since I joined My Favorite Things' design team!!! How cool is that?!

First of all, if you didn't get here from Michele's blog, head on over to Kim's blog and the beginning--I don't want you to miss a single bit of the gorgeousness that leads up to my stop :) If you did get here from Michele's, you're in the right place.

My Favorite Things is releasing two new sets tonight at midnight! Here are the deets and some other information:

I Need Coffee Flopsey $9
Rainy Day Friends (Fizer) $15.95

Weekly Spotlight: Crystal collections and applicator
Spotlight Savings (Wed-Tues): 10% off all crystal collections
HTDT Tutorial: Using your crystals: Cindy

First 50: The first 50 orders will receive free Heidi Swapp stickers!

I also want to remind you about the weekly challenges that are posted every Thursday in the My Favorite Things Forum on Splitcoast. Every week there's a new sketch challenge and a new My Favorite Challenge--something different every week to kick-start your mojo. Winners are chosen and there's a prize involved for each challenge.

OK, now on to my project :) I'm showing you a set I made using the new I Need Coffee Flopsey. I love him! I know I said that before, but I *really* {heart} him! Love those fuzzy slippers!! One reason I love him is that he reminds me of my brother, LOL. You never see him without a cup of coffee in his hand. He's got a birthday coming up so I made this set for him. Here's the entire set:

I have a thermal coffee mug that I just had to decorate up with a belly band (my brother usually carries a ceramic mug around so I thought this would be better), two of his favorite coffee blends in My Favorite Things' Perfect Packaging 16 oz. squared jars, a gussied up bag to put them in, and, of course, a card.

Here's a close up of the mug:

I used the coffee beans stamp from Hot Stuff on all the pieces, stamped on Creamy Caramel with Creamy Caramel ink and cut out. I thought it added a nice little accent.

The card is mug shaped and I love how it turned out. The "coffee" in the mug is Creamy Caramel paper colored with Copic markers--I was really surprised at how well they blended on regular card stock!! And yes, the card actually opens up! After I cut out the card, I ran the front through my Cuttlebug with the Script embossing folder, and then swiped over that with my Creamy Caramel ink pad.

Close up of the coffee in the jars:

Here's a close up of the bag:

And here are the Copic markers I used:

Sorry about all the pictures! I feel like I'm back in the MFT Idol contest, LOL!! But I wanted you to see the close-ups of each piece.

Now, I have the privilege of being ONE of the stops with blog candy! Yep, My Favorite Things is giving away blog candy TWO times during this blog hop. So be sure to leave a comment on this post to be entered. The winner will receive a code which can be used when ordering from MFT Stamps that will be good for a free mini set of your choice. But DON'T STOP HOPPIN'! Keep going and you'll find more :) The winners will be announced tomorrow night at My Favorite Things Forum on Splitcoast, so be sure to stop in to chat, see some more projects, and to see if you're the lucky winner! You have until 9:00pm EDT on June 17th to post your comment to be entered for this prize.

Whew! Are you still with me? If so, hop on over to Jody's blog. I'm SURE she has something fantastic to show you.

I'm so glad you hopped by, and happy hopping!
