My Favorite Things' October Blog Hop--On the Pier

Welcome to my stop on My Favorite Things October release blog hop! If you arrived here accidentally, you're going to want to head on back over to Kim's blog and the beginning. If you don't, you're going to miss a ton of gorgeous eye candy, and, there's all kinds of other stuff being released this month that you'll find out about all along the way. So, go on, go on over to Kim's blog and check it all out. I'll be right here waiting for you to work your way back. There's blog candy *somewhere* along the way but we're not tellin' where so be sure to hit every stop and leave a comment if you want a chance to win it. We'll find out who won tomorrow night at the release party at the Member Company Forum at SCS. If you got here from the amazing Frances' blog, you're in the right place :)

I'm honored to be bringing you "On the Pier". If it looks familiar, you're right; this stamp was in the very first MFT kit offered back in the summer. The kit is no longer available, but if you were kicking yourself because you let the kit get away, you can get the stamp set now! I really love this set and I wish I was walking on that pier with WTG right now, how about you? :)

I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I matted it with Ruby Red card stock and aged the edges a bit with Old Photo Distress ink. My patterned paper is from the Sea Glass mat pad by K & Company--I love that paper with this image!!! Card stock, in addition to the Ruby Red, is Very Vanilla and Blue Bayou. And, you know I had to tie some sailor's knots and add some hardware in the form of antique brass brads to keep up the nautical theme :) I think the little seashell charm adds some charm of it's own, too.

This set will be included in the One Click Collection, but if you already have it (you got the kit) you can switch it out with any other mini set on the site by posting a note in the comments section of your order. Keep in mind, too, that any time is a great time to shop MFT! Our Triple Scoop program rewards you every day! Simply purchase 3 full sized sets ($15.95 or higher) and receive a FREE set from MFT.

After you’ve added your 3 set choices to your cart, click the Triple Scoop “add to cart” button to receive your free set. You can always purchase the Triple Scoop Promo set at it’s normal price as well, but free is always better! Our October Triple Scoop set is Here’s the Scoop.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now, hop on along to the uber-talented Susan's blog and see what awesomeness she has for you--I'm thinkin' you're in for a treat :)
