Thinking of you--JUGS #4

This card is for Just Us Girls Challenge #4--to make a 3-D flower. I chose to make a flower like Dawn McVey did here. I cut out three sizes with my Nestabilities Blossom set in Barely Banana (SU!) and Melon Berry and New Leaf (PTI). I stamped on the Barely Banana layer with Barely Banana ink and a stamp from Polka Dot Basics II, left the Melon Berry unstamped, and stamped on the New Leaf layer with Mellow Moss with an image from Guide Lines. Then I tied them together with a sweet little flower button and twine, both from PTI. Patterned paper is from the Earth Love mini deck from Cosmo Cricket and card stock is Barely Banana and Soft Suede. A little stitching, a little lace, and a sentiment from Vintage Picnic Sentiments and it's done!

Thanks for stopping by today! Tomorrow's Color Throwdown day!

  3. STOP with the Nutmeg paper! You're making me madder and madder that my supplier still hasn't sent my order!

I'm so glad to see this because I just had a customer ask me yesterday if I thought the Blossom Nesties would make a good 3-D flower because there isn't much definition in the petals. I think this looks awesome! I'll have to show it to her!

  4. Barbara this is simply beautiful. YES the Blossom die makes a lovely 3D flower - Dawn's technique was the only one I knew before Mona's video. Thanks SO much for playing along with Just Us Girls again!! I hope you will join us again next Saturday for a brand new WILD CARD challenge. :-)

  8. Yay!!! Bar came back to play with the JUGS!! LOL Ha ha

I'm also laughing at Tammy's comment...I was really taking in that fantastic patterned paper you used and was all prepared to comment accordingly until Tammy's comment caught my eye and the laughing threw me off :O) I LOVE the mushrooms!!! How cute are those? Oh and the color scheme overall is fantastic! Kind of autumn-y yet fresh and not blah like some autumn colors can be. Your 3-D flower is FANTASTIC!!! Love your colored layers and that lace trim is stunning! I'm going to teach myself how to make those!! I'll send you one if it's not tooo time consuming! LOL

Thanks so much for faithfully playing with Just Us Girls! Hope you join us again on Saturday for the Wild Card challenge I'm hosting! You don't want to miss it! EVERY participant will be a winner ;]
