Merry Christmas Gift Card Holder - Crazy 4 Challenges #14

It's a new month and we have a new hostess. Joanne has awesome challenges lined up for us this month--you're gonna love 'em! I especially love this one - gift card holders. I need to make a bunch of them for a friend and while I was looking for some cute ideas I ran across the template for this one. I love it! It's so cute and easy--I may never make any other kind of gift card holder again!

I got the template from Tori Wild's blog and went to work dressing it up. The base card is Sage Shadow with a layer of Riding Hood Red (What am I going to do when I run out of this? Will someone please tell me? I love this red!!) and a layer of a gorgeous pattern from K & Co.'s Evergreen mat pad. I love it when the paper does all the work :) Then I made the belly band and the focal image, which was stamped with a sentiment and border from Just Rite's A Merry Little Christmas set, using Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink. I cut it out with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die, matted it with Riding Hood Red, and popped it up on Pop Dots. I punched a snowflake from Riding Hood Red and tied a button on it with Pearl cotton.

For the inside, I put a layer of patterned paper inside the flap before I stuck it down with red line tape and embellished with another snowflake.

NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of the Crazy 4 Challenges team!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the sketch and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project, and not your blog. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C14.
