OK, so do you wanna to see what I've got for ya? I used Puttin' On the Glitz for my project and I really had fun with this. I dunno, when I first saw this image with that big 'ole hat I immediately thought "Red Hat" so I went with it!

I decided a Fantasy Box would make a terrific gift box for a Red Hat sister, and I *had* to have a card to go with it, of course! I stamped the images on Perfect Paper Panels with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers and paper pieced the dresses. I'm using Elegant Eggplant, Ruby Red, and More Mustard card stock to go with the perfect-for-this Marrakesh Vines patterned paper by Bo Bunny. Embellishments include red and purple jewels, Prima flowers, jewel brads, and leaves punched with a Martha Stewart leaf punch. I popped the images up on 3M foam squares, which worked perfectly to allow the box top and bottom to slide up under the matted image panel. I love the way this turned out and I hope you do too!

I'm so glad you dropped by! Now, head on over to the fabulous Carole's blog to see what wondrous things she has in store for you! I know you won't be disappointed!

Catnips!

I have one more peek at the My Favorite Things' Purrfect Treats set for you today. This would make great stocking stuffers for pets or pet lovers, I think.

Again, pretty self-explanatory. I used the Top Note die and cut the base out of Basic Black card stock. The image was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic markers, and matted with Rose Red. The kitty and the bowl were done twice and one image popped up on 3M foam squares. A black and rose ribbon and a rose button tied on with black Perle cotton provide some accent. The "sentiment" was punched out with a Word Window punch and is also up on foam squares.

Don't forget to check out the Bubble Bin today for some bargains--there are soon-to-be- retired items there that once they're gone, they're gone.

Also, you have a couple of days to get in on the One Click Collection give away--get the deets here.

And, there's still time to participate in this weeks' challenges. Find out about them here.

And--as if that were not enough--don't forget the blog hop tomorrow night, starting at 10pm at Kim's blog. You'll get to see all the new releases during the hop and get the chance to win some blog candy!

I think that's all the news for now--oh, wait, I almost forgot! I got my Copic certification yesterday!! Yeehaw!! Now I get to practice, practice, practice :)

I'm so glad you stopped by today! See you tomorrow night at the hop!

Another My Favorite Things Sneak Peek

Here's another sneak peek of My Favorite Things release sets for July 1. This is another pet label but this one's for a kitty!! I'm crazy about this one, of course, and I'm keeping it. We give our kitties treats that clean their teeth and this is a cute way to store them--I did it in blue to match my kitchen :) This one is called Purrfect Treats. Like the dog treat jar, I put a collar around the top. And, like that one, I think it's pretty self-explanatory--you can see the top in the next picture down. This one was also stamped on Perfect Paper Panels, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I'm using Jersey Shore DSP (retired) and Brilliant Blue and Pumpkin Pie card stock. Blue gingham ribbon is tied around in a knot.

Be sure to check out how you can win all the sets in the new release by visiting MFT Forum here.

I'm so glad you stopped by today!

My Favorite Things Sneak Peek

Are ya ready for a little sneak peek of the new releases? My Favorite Things is releasing four new sets on July 1. If you saw my VIP bundle post on June 25, you got a look at the new Who's That Girl set and today I'm showing you a cute little label for a pet treat--it's name is Puppy Chow. I'm using one of the jars from the Perfect Packaging line and I've filled it with doggie treats. My neighbor just got a new puppy so this will go to her. I put a small dog collar around the rim of the jar and made a "dog tag" for it. I think the label itself is pretty self-explanatory. The next picture shows the top of the jar. Isn't this set cute!??!!

I used DSP from the Parisian Breeze collection and Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze card stock. I'm not sure if you can see, but I stamped little paw prints on the paper band. The images are stamped on Perfect Paper Panels and with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored with Copic markers. I punch out slots for the ribbon and ran it around the jar.

Now, how would you like to win this set and all of the other new releases? Check out the MFT Member Company Forum for all the deets!

I'm so glad you dropped in today. Check back tomorrow--I might have another little peek for you :)

Stamp Simply--I'm Baaaaaack!

Remember how I boo-hoo'ed when I posted my last card as the May Guest Designer for the Stamp Simply challenges? Well, I'm elated to tell you that I've joined the team full-time!!! Yes!! Imagine my surprise--and delight--at being asked! What an honor this is!!!! I love Sharon's challenges and look forward to now participating as a member of the Stamp Simply team! My boo hoo has turned into WOO HOO!!! AND, another recent quest designer, Jenny Gropp, is also joining the team!

OK, now that that's over, LOL, on to this week's challenge. Sharon has challenged us TWICE this week! First, to use blue and green predominantly, and, second, to use paper piercing. Here it is in her words:

Today's challenge is two-fold -- a color challenge and simple technique. COLORS -- grassy green and sky blue. I've always loved blue and green together. You MAY add other colors, just make sure you get in plenty of the greens and blues. SIMPLE TECHNIQUE - PIERCE. I seem to have gotten away from piercing of late, but I LOVE to do it -- so I'm hoping this challenge gets me back into piercing mode!!! Can't wait to see what you all do!

Well, I'm a huge fan of blue and green together, too, AND paper piercing, so I *really* love this challenge! My card is all blue and green except for the Whisper White on which the sentiment--and focal image--is stamped. And, I just got a new Ornare corner piercing template from Joan's Gardens and decided this would be the perfect time to break it out! I love it!! I also got the Ornare piercing tool and I love it! It's hard to describe, but it just works so much better than the craft store tool I'd been using. I love it! It's super sharp, glides super easily through the paper, and made all of my holes uniform. Did I mention I love it? ;-) I think this card is pretty self-explanatory except let me point this out: the green frame around the sentiment really *is* a frame, cut/embossed with two sizes of the Labels Four set and the sentiment layer is actually *behind* it.

Come along and play with us and take the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave a comment on Sharon's blog telling her where you uploaded. Please use the keyword ssnotime93 if you upload to a public forum. Check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team:

What's the story?

It's Thursday so we have a new sketch challenge and My Favorite Challenge over at the My Favorite Things Forum on Splitcoast. Every Thursday we have new challenges in a new thread so we can chat and share our projects. This is my card for this week's Sketch Challenge--#87.

Flopsey (from the What's the Story set) was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored with Copic markers, and cut out. He's popped up on a Very Vanilla layer which was cut/embossed with a Nestabilities Labels Four with edges sponged with Creamy Caramel ink, which is in turn matted with more DP. The patterned paper is from the Ancestry.com paper pad from K & Co. and card stock is Creamy Caramel and Ruby Red. Some lace with ribbon threaded through and some Dew Drops provide some accent. The sentiment is from the same set and done the same was as the focal image.

We'd love for you to join us in these challenges, so come on over and give it a whirl and join in the chat!

Color Throwdown #48--Waterlily

It's another Color Throwdown day!!! Today, LeAnne is the hostess with the mostess and she picked some yummy colors! We're about to say goodbye to the In Colors so she's using Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, and Kraft.

I can say they're yummy now because I love how my card turned out, but when I pulled out these colors to start working on them I was scratching my head wondering what I was going to do! Later, I walked by my water garden and saw waterlilies blooming and that was my inspiration. This new Flourishes' set hadn't been inked it up yet, so this was the perfect time to do it.

I stamped the image on water color paper with Staz-On black ink and watercolored with re-inkers and a brush. I'm not totally happy with my shading but overall I'm very happy with this card. I'm using DP from Bella Birds and Baja Breeze DSP. Baja Breeze double stitched ribbon and some flat backed pearls were all the embellishment I thought it needed.

C'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use Mr. Linky to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD48 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there!

Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week:

These boots are made for splashing!

This set is *so* stinkin' cute I had to make another card with it--couldn't resist! This is Rainy Day Friends, one of My Favorite Things' latest releases.

I stamped my image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. My DP is from the Citronella mat pad by K & Co. with Ruby Red and Green Galore card stock. I did some stitching and edge distressing on the base layer and on the image layer. I was trying to decide where to put the umbrella and it occurred to me that it would look real spiffy stuck in the bow! I think the rest of it is pretty self-explanatory.

Be sure to check out this week's Bubble Bin at My Favorite Things. There are some items there slated for retirement and once they're gone, they're gone. Don't let them get away!

I'm so glad you dropped in today!

My Favorite Challenge #4

There're some great challenges goin' on over at the My Favorite Things Forum on Splitcoast. Every Thursday there's a new sketch and a new My Favorite Challenge. Here's this week's thread where we chat and you can post your entry. Play along and you might win a prize :)

My Favorite Challenge this week is to make a gift card holder. Well, let me tell you I feel so virtuous--I recycled a little metal gift card holder that I received some time back. I kept it thinking it might come in handy and it did!

My focal image is from My Favorite Things' You Take the Cake. It was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel, paper pieced and colored with Copic markers and matted with Creative Memories' Caribbean Blue and Basic Black. For the holder itself, I wrapped some matching ribbon around the lip of the top and ran more around to serve as a tie. The top was covered with Basic Black, Caribbean Blue, and DP from the Black Orchid 8 x 8 pad by SEI. Some Prima flowers with a button center and some little black jewels finish it off. I love the way this little recycled gift card holder turned out. Hope you do too!

I'm so glad you dropped in today!

Cupcake Flopsey--MFT Sketch Challenge #86

There're some great challenges goin' on over at the My Favorite Things Forum on Splitcoast. Every Thursday there's a new sketch and a new My Favorite Challenge. Here's this week's thread where we chat and you can post your entry. Play along and you might win a prize :)

This is my card for this week's sketch. I'm using My Favorite Things' Cupcake Flopsey and it looks like he's not available right now. I stamped him on Perfect Paper Panels with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored him with Copic markers, and popped him up on 3M foam squares. The icing on the cupcake has Liquid Applique on it--I only have white, so I painted on some Pink Poinsettia Shimmerz after I heated it. I'm lovin' the way this turned out. The DP is from DCWV Sweet Stack and my solid colors are Creamy Caramel and Pretty In Pink. The Swarovski crystals are from the Chocolate Kiss Collection. I made my little ghost flower by punching it out of acetate card stock and the brad is from Paper Studio.

I'm so glad you dropped in today!!!
