Recipe Card With a Twist - Stamp Simply Challenge #127

Look what a fun challenge Sharon has for us this week! In her words:

Feb 19 - ssnotime127 - Recipe Card with a Twist! - Think of flipping through a recipe box filled with cards -- the tabs/dividers come to my mind instantly. That's where we are headed with this one. Make a card (for a recipe if you like, but it need NOT be a true recipe card) that has some tabbed element on it to give you that impression of a traditional recipe card in a box. This wil be FUN -- can wait to see YOUR creations!!!

I've been seeing lots of pretty recipe cards floating around in blogland and I've done a couple of simple ones, but I thought I'd really gussy one up this time. I've never met a pound cake I didn't like, but this one is especially good, so I'm sharing it with you today.

I stamped the tab image from JustRite's Recipe Borders and Centers Set on a punched out tab, added a green border and sponged the edges. Then I made the card--using Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry 6 x 6 pad. Then I typed up the recipe, sponged the edges, and adhered it to the card, first adding a sweet little green gingham ribbon and bow and some buttons from MFT's Spring button collection.

I love how this turned out--I'm actually thinking of framing it for my kitchen!

So, now it's your turn. Come along and play and take us up on the challenge--we'd love to see what you come up with. If you do, be sure to leave the link to your project on Sharon's blog using Mr. Linky. Please use the keyword ssnotime127 if you upload to a public forum. And don't forget to check out Sharon's fabulous sample and also the great designs from the Stamp Simply team and leave 'em some love!
