Signs of Spring - Color Throwdown #87

The last few days have been unseasonably warm here in south central Virginia, leaves and blooms are popping out, and allergies abound (Ah-choo!). My dogwoods are almost in full bloom and inspired me to pull out my PSX dogwood stamp for today's Color Throwdown challenge. Danielle chose today's colors: pink, gray, and soft olive green.
I wanted this image to definitely be the focus of this card so I left it pretty clean and simple, only adding some scoring (don't know why I can't ever get that to show up on a card!) and three Dew Drops. I stamped the image on a piece of One Sheet Wonder card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils. Yep, you read that right--pencils, not Copics, LOL! I've been playing around with an inexpensive set of pencils and since I ran into a couldn't-be-passed-up deal on a full set of Prismacolor pencils I took the plunge. I thought I'd start off with a very easy to color image but I'm thinking you'll be seeing more of my images colored with pencils. It was FUN!! And, I think, not too bad considering it's my first ;-)

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD87 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week and help us give a huge welcome to April's Guest Designer--Teresa Kline!
