Own Your Story - CTD #136 and MFTWSC #14

OMGosh! It's Wednesday again so that means it's Color Throwdown AND MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge day! The lovely Laura chose today's colors - which are most lovely as well!

And here's the sketch--another fun one from MFT! You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Um, it should surprise no one that I didn't do a square card ;-) But I love how it turned out! I stamped an image from Own Your Story, a new MFT set released just last night, on Fossil card stock and cut it out with the new matching Four Point Frame Die-namics die. Then I stamped the top image on Sno Cone card stock, cut it out by hand and popped it up on the first. The bottom one peeks out a bit and gives awesome dimension in real life.

Patterned paper is From MME Stella Rose line, Mabel collection. Since I didn't have an orange bling-y flourish, I simply colored a clear one with a Copic marker and added it as a sketch element. Finally, some stitching and some twill ribbon finished it off.

Here's the inside, with a stamped flourish and another sentiment from the set.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD136 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week! And please help us welcome our fabulous Guest Designer for April, Carole Burrage!!
