Today we're showing you Pure Innocence - Caramel Apple, Pure Innocence - Karate Girl, Pure Innocence - Karate Boy, Pure Innocence - Sunflower Girl, and Pure Innocence - Poppy. I’m showing you Pure Innocence - Poppy, but first, a few little things you need to know:
  • The August Guest Designer Contest continues and ends on Monday, August 1st at 10 PM EST. The winner will be announced at the release party. Get the deets here.

  • The August Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm August 2nd, with the hop also starting at the MFT Blog.
How sweet is that little face? I'm going to love looking at her for a month! She's colored with Copics and her dress is paper pieced. I'm using the 2011 digi calendar files and the Jumbo Open Scalloped Border and the Rounded Banner Die-namics dies. And, of course, First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics for the sentiment flag.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with another teaser!

mftteasertimegraphic

Did you just LOVE yesterday’s previews??? Oh, yeah :) I have two cards for you today so I apologize up front for the long post. I hope you think it's worth it ;-)

Today we're showing you Just the Ticket Die-namics and Stamp Set, á la modes in I Spy and á la modes in Bundle of Baby.  I’m showing you á la modes in Bundle Of Baby and Just the Ticket Die-namics and Stamp Set, but first, a few little things you need to know:

Is this sweet or what??!! I colored this little chickie with Copic markers, cut her out, and popped her up on foam. The sentiment is from Just the Ticket, cut with the coordinating die. Love that ticket die—I’m thinking I’m going to be using it a LOT. I added the little onesie from the Notched Tag Die and Stamp Set onto the ticket die cut because I just couldn’t resist. LOVE how MFT dies work so well together, don’t you?

Here’s the inside with a sentiment from the á la modes set.

Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this card: Just the Ticket Die and Stamp Set; Notched Tag Die and Stamp Set, and Open Bracket Die-namics die.

I also have another card using one of yesterday's sets: Clearly Sentimental About Sympathy and it's also for the C4C challenge today: Tent cards. Get all the deets at the C4C Blog. I'll try to be quick with this one :)

I used Upsy Daisy Die-namics dies and the soon-to-be-released Fancy Flourish die for my hanging element. I cut out the flourishes first, then attached the assembled daisies and leaves, added some support on the back, and hung it from the inside top fold with Pearl cotton.

Here's a frontal view. The sentiment was stamped on a First Place Award Ribbon die cut (can you wear out a die?!) matted with the larger die cut.

Here's a side view showing how it hangs inside the tent.

Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this card:

MFT August Teaser, Day One–Forty and Fabulous

mftteasertimegraphic
It's time, it's time!!! Time for MFT Teasers to start up again! If you've seen the Freeze Frames this week at the MFT blog, you know you're in for a treat as we show you teasers for the next five days. Today we're showing you By the Numbers Die-namics and Stamp Set and Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy. I'm showing you By the Numbers Die-namics and Stamp Set, but first, a few little things you need to know:

OK, so now you want to see the set in action, right? Hold on to your hats, it’s awesome!!! We now have number dies!!! OMGosh!! I’m totally in love with them. Can’t you imagine all the uses you can find for them? Yep, me too.

augustteaserday1_2011jul29
Look at those perfect numbers!! Sigh. I wanted to use this sentiment on a girly card so I pulled out my very girlie Cosmo Cricket Pixielicious paper, some bling (colored with Copic marker) and went to work. Look at the punch you can add to a card with no coloring at all! (Well, except for the bling ;-)). I added the rest of the sentiment by stamping single words from a couple of PI sets on a flag die cut using the First Place Award Ribbon Die and Stamp Set. It and the numbers are popped up on foam. Here’s the inside, using images from By the Numbers

xmasmusic_2011may26

I’m a Christmas all year kinda girl so this was right up my alley :) I love this Christmas Music set. It’s helps create a gorgeous background layer and the sentiments are just wonderful. I stamped the music on some patterned paper with light brown ink and sponged the edges with Distress Ink. The sentiment was stamped on a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Two tag and tied it on with some luscious burgundy silk ribbon.

If you need more inspiration, we have some for you every day this week!

Tuesday: The Timeless Tuesday Team
Wednesday: Dawn Burnworth

Just a Note–CTD #152 and MFTWSC #30

Wednesdays are one of my favorite days of the week because I get to play Color Throwdown and the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

Today’s colors were chosen by my bestie, Tammy Hershberger. At first I wasn’t sure about them but it ended up being all good :) Here are the colors she chose:

swatch 152

Here’s this week’s sketch. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFTWSCSketch30
I’m using Who’s That Musical Girl? for my card. She’s perfect for that round element and is paper pieced and colored with Copic markers. I pawed through my substantial paper stash and found this Kaiser paper called Hey Birdie that was also perfect—love it when a plan comes together :) Oh, the music note paper is from the MME Lost and Found collection called Union Station. First I’ve seen in brown and I needed brown! ‘Course, I had to do a little distressing, too :)

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set and some sweet music notes.

coffeefriend_2011jan14

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

I'm happy to be able to participate in Papertrey Ink's July blog hop!! This month's hop theme is an inspiration challenge using this image:

I used the Button Boutique set, cut the panel with the Button Card Die, stamped on PTI Kraft with SU! Crumb Cake ink, added some PTI Terracotta Tile buttons some lace, and vintaged up seam binding. The sentiment says "Cute as a button." So CUTE!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by--I always love it when you do!

You Blow Me Away

Another quick post today using the Perfect Pinwheel and Stamp Set from MFT’s July release.

julyteaserday4_2011july4

I don’t think you need a lot of explanation on this. I cut out my pinwheel pieces, put them together and added a button on top of the brad that holds the “fins” together. My stick is an orangewood stick that I had in my stash. I simply snipped off the sharp point and adhered it with Scor-Tape.

julyteaserday4_2011july4in

Here’s the inside, using the sweet little PI – My Little Firecracker, colored with Copic markers. Is she adorable or what???!!!

I also used the Dizzy Doily Die-namics die on the front of this card and First Place Award Ribbon for the sentiment flag.

Make a Splash - C4C #97

What a crazy and chock-full-of-fun week! CHA was a blast but now I have to get a dose of reality, LOL!

AND, it's time for Crazy 4 Challenges! Cindy has challenged us to make a shaker card. I love to make the and they're super easy. You can find a link to a tutorial on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog today.

I'm using a new MFT set called PI - Make a Splash and some Bo Bunny paper called Barefoot and Bliss. They just seem to go together! I colored the little PI with Copic markers and added sand around her feet. I love to sink my feet in the sad at the beach, don't you?

Here's the inside with another sentiment from the set.

I used these Die-namics dies on this card: Catch a Wave, Sunshine, and First Place Award Ribbon.

Sooooo, NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of my crazy girls...er, I mean the Crazy 4 Challenges team ;-)
THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C97.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
