My Playlist–MFT March Teaser, Day Two

teaserday2_2013mar6

Hi, there! Back again with day two of MFT’s March teasers! Today we have two sets by Laina LambLLD Document It - Rock On and LLD Journal It – Playlist. These sets are fabulous for scrapbooking, of course, but, not being a scrapper, I wanted to see what I could do using them for a card. I like what I came up with and I hope you do too. First, though, there’s this…

Here are the details about the upcoming release:

  • You can attend the New Release Party on March 11 from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can WIN PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on March 11 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.
  • The guest designer contest is going on now!  Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $200 in stamp sets and Die-namics.
  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to the MFT Blog NOW.  Be sure to leave comments as you go for the chance to win one of 2, $10 gift certificates given away daily.  The winners will be posted on March 11 just before the release party, on the MFT blog.

So, I decided to make a birthday card with this, complete with gift card pocket. I thought this would be an awesome way to present a music download gift card. And, I thought a cute addition would be to give my “suggested” playlist on the front. I had great fun choosing which albums to list, but it was HARD to pick just 10! I stamped the grid from a previously released set, LLD Journal It – Top Ten on a Die-namics LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Insert die cut from Whip Cream card stock and stamped with Black Licorice ink, then stamped in the numbers with another new release for this month, Blu Raspberry ink. After I put a card base together using Kraft card stock and Steel Gray card stock along with some patterned paper, I popped my playlist up on foam. Then I embellished it with a FUN new die for this month: Die-namics LLD Accent It – Rock and Roll. I cut the guitar from Kraft card stock, added a patterned paper body and Steel Gray card stock accent. I popped this up, as well, on top of a baker’s twine bow.

Here’s the inside with another new die: Die-namics LLD Accent It – Cassette Tape. How stinkin’ CUTE is this??? The label was stamped on Blu Raspberry card stock with Black Licorice ink and after being adhered to the cassette tape die cut, was attached to the inside of the card with ScorTape. It’s just the right size to hold a gift card  :) To finish it off, I stamped the sentiment from the set on a Die-namics LLD Accent It – Flags & Tags strip and popped it up on the label. Oh, this cassette brings back some memories :)

  15. To cool. Pretty soon you won't be able to find anything resembling a cassette tape, unless you find it in the vintage section, lol. TFS

  17. I love this gift card idea! Even the details on the stamp for the cassette label and SPOT ON PERFECT - they look just like the dozens of cassette tapes I own (yes, and still play, still have my LPs and 45s too - hubby made me give my 8-tracks away). The details in these products are spectacular!
