Let’s Do Lunch–MFT June Teaser, Day Seven

teaserday7_2013jun11

Here we are at the last day of MFT Teasers for June! I can’t believe how fast time is flying, can you!? Today I’m showing you one of this month’s Pure Innocence sets: PI – On a Picnic. Totally darling! Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for set and die reveals and don’t forget the release party tonight at 8pm in the SCS Member Company Forum with release at 10pm.

I just had to create a little scene with this cutie! I paper pieced her outfit, and the table cloth, then stamped colored and cut out the basket and bear, along with PI, so I could arrange them the way I wanted and achieve some dimension at the same time. The sentiment was stamped on a Die-namics Flat-Bottom Clouds die cut and I added more clouds and a Die-namics Sunshine to set the picnic mood :)

To add a second arm for even more dimension, here’s what I did. I stamped her top and a second arm and colored the arm. Since the sleeve was “built in” to the top, I couldn’t just add another sleeve.

Then I cut out the top and cut a slit where the sleeve covered the original arm.

To finish, I slipped the uncolored extension of the second arm under the slit and adhered the arm down.

And here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set:
