Hi, everyone! It’s Color Throwdown time! This week Vickie has an awesome color combo for us based on a striking inspiration piece.
I started with a Baked Brown Sugar card base and popped up a Sweet Tooth card stock panel. To add some texture to that white panel, I stenciled on some molding paste with MPD Scallops stencil. Then I cut out a LLD Insert It – InstaFrame Die-namics and stamped with with Baked Brown Sugar ink using LJD Spring Backgrounds. I popped that up on foam and added a Washi Tape Die-namics die cut from Not Quite Navy card stock and stamped with More Washi Patterns and Not Quite Navy ink. I added a Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics cut from Pistachio Pudding and a Royal Rose Die-namics cut from Crisp Cantaloupe. I stamped the sentiment, from More Essential Sentiments, with Black Licorice ink and added some matching enamel dots to finish it off.
Here’s the inside with another sentiment from More Essential Sentiments.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD265 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week
