Thinking of You–C4C #214

C4C214_2013nov30

Hi, there Crazy fans! It’s Crazy 4 Challenges time and this week we’re challenged to make a “Thinking of you” card and actually SEND it!

I chose this sentiment from LJD Grand Greetings as the perfect way to start my design process. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice ink on Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Clearly Sentimental Label Die-namics and popped it up on foam. My card base is Sweet Tooth card stock, as well. I stamped the hounds tooth image from LJD Spring Backgrounds with Black Licorice ink, then popped up another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with a Razzle Berry border. I then made a Hybrid Camellia Flower Die-namics flower from Razzle Berry card stock and some Jellybean Green card stock cut with Layered Leaves Die-namics. I finished it off with some clear gems.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Get Well Wishes.

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you, including November’s guest designer, Vicki Parson!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C214. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Merry Christmas–MFTWSC #152

MFTWSC152_2013nov27

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I’m still trying to build up my Christmas card stash and this is another one to add to the pile. I started by stamping Sheet Music Background with Kraft ink on Kraft card stock then stitched that to some Jellybean Green card stock. I popped that up on a Kraft card stock base with some foam. Then I stamped some “patterned paper” with my Plaid Builder Background and Kraft ink, Jellybean Green ink, and Wild Cherry ink. I stitched that down, too, then added a Simply Scallops Medium border, topped with a Washi Tape Die-namics strip cut from Primitive Cream card stock and stamped with Jellybean Green ink. I stamped the sentiment with Wild Cherry ink on a Designer Labels 3 STAX Die-namics cut from Primitive Cream card stock. I popped that up on foam and finished off with Wild Cherry buttons tied with hemp cord.

Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from the set.

Best Wishes–CTD #270

CTD270_2013nov27

Hi, all, it’s time for the Color Throwdown! This week’s colors were chosen by Wanda and I just LOVE the elegant inspiration piece she used, don’t you?

swatch 270

I was in need of a wedding card and I thought these colors were perfect for it so I got to work. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics doily cut from Kraft card stock. Then I made a Hybrid Camellia Flower Die-namics posy, accompanied by some Layered Leaves Die-namics and popped it up on the doily.

I cut a Banner Greetings Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped a sentiment from Banner Greetings with Black Licorice ink and popped it up as well. Since I had no silver on the card at this point, I added some silver beads and some pearls for good measure :)

For the inside, I stamped a sentiment from Happy Thoughts—perfect for a wedding card, I think.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD270 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week
