productrelease1_2014jan7

Hi, everyone, and welcome to MFT’s January New Product Launch! Everything that we’ve been showing you for the last week is now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique!

If you follow my blog you know that there’s not much I like more than some focal image sentiments, and this month I LOVE this new set, Love Story. I have several cards to show you using this set so settle back and enjoy—then go shopping :)

My first card uses one of my favorite techniques, the chalkboard technique. I love how these sentiments look so amazing with it! I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then stamped this month’s red rubber offering, Patterned Triangles Background, on Wild Cherry card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, then heat embossed with white embossing powder and popped it up on the base. I did the same thing with the sentiment from Love Story, on Black Licorice card stock, then popped it up, as well. I added a heart, cut from the new Staggered Heart Border Die-namics, some Leafy Flourish Die-namics cut from Gumdrop Green card stock, and some Mini Royal Roses Die-namics cut from Wild Cherry card stock.

I stamped another sentiment from Love Story on the inside with Black Licorice ink.

For my second card, I went a little scrappy.

productrelease2_2014jan7

I again started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then stamped up some patterned paper on some Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics die cuts. The bottom, and largest one, was stamped on the new Grout Gray card stock with Razzle Berry ink, using the little heart strip from LJD Love’s the Ticket. On the second one, I stamped Sheet Music Background on Razzle Berry card stock and on the smallest, a flower image from WBD You’re so Special to Me on Steel Gray card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink.

Then I cut
Vertical Greetings II Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and shortened it to fit the sentiment from Love Story. I popped that up on foam and arranged some individual Staggered Heart Border Die-namics around the end cut from Grout Gray card stock, Steel Gray card stock, and Razzle Berry card stock. I finished it off with a few clear gems.

The inside of this card has another sentiment from Love Story, stamped with Steel Gray ink.

For my third card, I threw caution to the wind and tossed some hearts in the air!

productrelease3_2014jan7

I started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then stamped the sentiment from Love Story at the bottom with Steel Gray ink. I cut Staggered Heart Border Die-namics from Orange Fizz card stock, Grapesicle card stock, Razzle Berry card stock, Bubblegum card stock, and Spearmint card stock and literally tossed them up in the air to get a random pattern. Keeping the pattern as true as possible, I adhered the hearts and it was done!

A sentiment from Love Story is on the inside.

For my final card, I went more “formal”.

productrelease4_2014jan7

I started with a Kraft card stock base, then added a Sweet Tooth card stock layer onto which I applied some modeling paste with a DIY stencil. To do this, I cut Fluttering Hearts Die-namics from scrap card stock and used the negative as a stencil to get these darling little hearts. Then I made some roses, using MPD Blooming Roses, MPD Rose Bouquet Die-namics, Pink Lemonade ink, Bubblegum ink, and the new Spearmint ink. I popped them up on foam, then stamped the sentiment from Love Story on a Polka Dot Greetings Die-namics cut from Kraft cards tock with Steel Gray ink and popped it up, too. I finished it off with a few matching sequins.

Another sentiment was stamped on the inside with Steel Gray ink.
