countdownday1_2014apr8

Today’s the day!! Or, rather, tonight’s the night! MFT’s April release goes live at 10pm so set your reminder now :) In the meantime, we have another day of Release Countdown and today we’re previewing Oh Baby Die-namics, Baby's Bib Die-namics, Pure Innocence I Pick You, and Bokeh Builder.

Oh, wow. Just WOW!! I’m using Bokeh Builder for my card today and I’m smitten with it! Bokeh Builder, that is. I like the card too ;-) Bokeh Builder is going to be a staple of my background stamping arsenal, trust me. I’m going to be using it a lot to build multi-color backgrounds—Oh Happy Day!!

OK, on to the card. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a wonky angled piece of Steel Gray card stock. Next I started building my Bokeh background using Orange Fizz ink, Berrylicious ink, and Grout Gray ink, just stamping away, randomly. I don’t think there’s a “wrong way” to do this—just stamp as much—or as little--as you want and in any color combo you want. Or, several shades of one color—the sky is the limit with this, seriously. After I finished stamping I cut that panel wonky and adhered that. I stamped the sentiment from the set on a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock and added a Cute Cameras 2 Die-namics to add to the “focus” theme. Love it.

Another sentiment from Bokeh Builder is on the inside.

  1. Wonderful layout. i love designers that can put things askew and make it work. When I try, it looks like a picture hanging crooked on the wall.
