Friends

friends

Hi, everyone, just popping in to share a card I made to celebrate good friends. Since watercoloring is all the rage right now, I wanted to try a watercolor background on this project.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then trimmed down another piece of Sweet Tooth card stock to work on. Using a water brush and Berrylicious refill, Orange Fizz refill, and Lemon Drop refill, I first floated some water on my watercolor paper. Then I picked up each color with the brush and just swiped it on. I work each color into the next until I was satisfied, then stopped ;-) Next I stamped the sentiment, from Chalkboard Greetings with Sweet Tooth Pigment ink and heat embossed with white fine detail embossing powder. I layered the panel on Black Licorice card stock and popped it up on the base with foam tape. To finish it off, I cut some Sequins Die-namics from clear acetate card stock and adhered them to the card front.

A sentiment from Clearly Sentimental About Friendship was stamped on the inside with Black Licorice ink.

And that’s it—thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to cherish your friends—sometimes they’re better than family :)
