Hello again, I’m back with a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Broni’s colors were inspired by this lovely Coastal décor scene.
My card is another that I taught in my class at the MFT Retreat. If you were in the class you will notice that one of the balloons is not the same color I used in class. When I saw how close the rest of the colors were, I simply did another balloon in the challenge color and voila! I also changed the color of the tiny star embellishment :) Obviously, I’m really big into balloon and stars recently ;-)
This card started with a Grout Gray card stock base. Then I added an Abstract Cover-Up Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and popped up on foam mounting tape for the background and built on that. The sentiment is from LLD Count the Stars, stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, then also popped up. The die cut “Wish” is from LLD Stars & Wishes and was cut from Black Licorice card stock and adhered with my Quickie Glue Pen. The balloons are from MSTN Happy Pandas, cut from Ranger watercolor paper, stamped with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and colored before also being popped up. Two were colored with ink: Blu Raspberry dye ink and Razzle Berry dye ink, but Steel Gray dye ink turns very pinkish when it dries so I used my Kuretake watercolors for that. A few glitter paper stars and it was done!
A sentiment from DC Life’s Direction was stamped on the inside.
