From My Hut to Yours–MFT August Creative Challenge: Paper Paradise

creativechallenge_2015aug18

Hi, everyone, It’s time for this month’s MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! This month the challenge is Paper Paradise:

Take a trip with us! Our team has been playing in a tropical crafting paradise for this month’s challenge. Palm trees, fruity drinks, and cool blue waters are are just some of the delights you’ll experience as we showcase stamps and Die-namics with a tropical theme.

I have had so much fun with Tiki Party and Tiki Party Die-namics this month so I decided to get the stamp set out again for this challenge. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Then I created my scene by stamping some of the images on Ranger watercolor paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, using a little masking for the palm trees. Then I colored the images and created the seascape behind them with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers. I added some seagulls, using the bats from Spooky House Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock and coloring the wings a little for realism. Next, the sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, and popped up on foam mounting tape. I adore this little scene!
