Cards for Sale

cardsforsale_2015mar31
I love to make cards, but eventually the stash gets to critical mass and something has to be done before there’s a landslide. That time has come. I have 10 Priority Mail flat rate padded envelopes, each with at least 16 random cards for sale. There are varying themes, holidays, and manufacturers and most are finished on the inside as well. There will be an inner wrapper in an effort to minimize shifting during shipping.

Cost is $28 each plus $6 shipping—give-away price, but I need to get them out of here. PayPal only (no exceptions). Sorry, US addresses only (no exceptions)I don’t have time to fill out customs forms, etc. at this price.

If you’re interested, email me at banders01 [at] embarqmail [dot] com and please note CARDS FOR SALE in the subject line.

Thank you!!

You & Me–MFT Color Challenge #18

MFTCPC18_2015mar27

Hi, all, I'm back with this week's MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Daffodil, Brown Paper Bag, Tangy Orange, and Berrylicious. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Challenge & Inspiration Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I had so much fun making this card! I started out working on it and ended up in a totally different direction than the one in which I started! This card starts with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, Then I cut Ampersand Die-namics from all four of the colors—I used Kraft because I didn’t have any Brown Paper Bag card stock at the time—and just starting laying them out on the base to see what arrangement I liked. Once I was happy with it, I glued them down with liquid glue. The sentiment is from Always & Forever, stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I popped them up on foam mounting take and finished off with a Black Licorice card stock ampersand to tie the two parts of the sentiment together. I love how this turned out!

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from LJD All My Love with Black Licorice dye ink.

Happy Easter–SSSC #262

SSSC262_2015mar29

Hi, there, peeps! It’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! I love this sketch! Karen is churning out some awesome sketches for us, isn’t she?

SSSC262

Am I the only one who can’t believe it’s almost Easter? OMWord, but time is flying!! I decided to ink up this little PI One of My Favorite Peeps for this card. This was another image I shared on Instagram a couple of weeks ago and now it’s on this card :) If you want to follow me on Instagram, I’m @banders03123.

My card started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then, on a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock, I stamped the peep image from Candy Jar Companions with Daffodil dye ink to create a background. The eyes and nose were stamped with Black Licorice dye ink, then it was matted with Black Licorice card stock and popped up on foam mounting tape. Next up is a strip of Blue Breeze card stock, stamped with Versamark and Striped Backgrounds. I wanted just a hint of pattern and Versamark is great for that. Next is a Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics, cut from Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Grid Background and Black Licorice dye ink, and also popped up on foam. The sentiment was stamped on Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, then heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder and also popped up. The PI was stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut out, and popped up. I finished off with some enamel dots.

Another sentiment from the set was stamped on the inside.

I’m All Ears–C4C #279

C4C279_2015mar28

Hey, there! It’s time for another Crazy 4 Challenges! Today Anja is challenging us to Think Spring!! Easy enough now that the temps are moderating a bit and a few flowers are starting to bloom here in South Central Virginia :)

I started with a Grout Gray card stock base, then added a Sweet Tooth card stock panel with a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Black Licorice dye ink and Plaid Builder Background tucked under the edge. Next is a piece of Tickled Pink card stock with some white embossing paste spread through Small Brick Wall Stencil and popped up on foam mounting tape. Next is a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Linen Background and Black Licorice dye ink. The focal image is PI I’m All Ears, stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut her out.

Those of you who follow me on Instagram might have seen when I posted this image for a challenge a couple of weeks ago. I post more on Instagram than I do on my blog, so if you want to see it all, just follow me there—I’m @banders03123.

Anyway, I popped her up on foam, stamped the sentiment on a strip of Black Licorice card stock with Sweet Tooth pigment ink, heat embossed it with clear detail embossing powder, and popped that up, as well. I finished off with some enamel dots.

Another sentiment and another copy of the image were stamped on the inside with Black Licorice dye ink.

And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you, including our March Guest Designer, Andrea Murdock!

THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C279.

Thanks so much for stopping by today—see you soon, and remember it’s all about the art!
