Hello, today our team is taking a fresh look at our most recent release with inspiring ideas and innovative takes on the complete collection. We love the opportunity to look at our products with fresh eyes, envisioning entirely new ways to showcase the possibilities they present. We can’t wait to share our ideas with you!

I didn’t get a chance to play with the new Flop Card Die-namics during Release Countdown so I pulled out Flop Card – Oval Die-namics for today. There are two ways of using these dies and I’m sure you’ve seen both of them during the Countdown. I’m using one way today—with the curve to the right--and will have a card later on using them the other way, with the curve to the left.

I wanted to have a watercolor wash background so I decided to experiment with
Ranger Watercolor Paper. Although it’s thicker than card stock it worked out pretty well. I did the wash with Peerless Watercolors on the paper first, then did my Flop Card die cut. If you do any watercolor backgrounds you know how it can warp so I was careful but it still warped more than I liked. I decided to see if running it through my Vagabond would help and IT DID! Flattened it right out plus REALLY creased those folds, LOL! You can see it left the shape of the die cut area embossed, too, but I was fine with that since it helped me line up the oval for the inside perfectly—win-win!

I used Sweet Forest Friends and Sweet Forest Friends Die-namics for my sweet little scene, stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 5 Die-namics and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I hope you’ll give the new Flop Card Die-namics a try—they’re an easy way to created an interactive card that will WOW your recipient.

And that’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you soon!
