With Sympathy–CTD #404

CTD404_2016aug3

It’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Amy Rohl is our hostess this week and she has chosen a classic color combo.

This color combo really worked out great for me because I was in need of a sympathy card. I tend to not have any of them on hand, how about you? I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, applied a watercolor wash to Ranger Watercolor Paper with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush, and adhered it to the card base. Next I cut Essential Cover-Up Vertical Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock, stamped the sentiment from Essential Sentiments with Black Licorice dye ink, and popped it up on foam mounting tape.

Then I cut Bold Greenery Die-namics from watercolor paper, watercolored it with Peerless Watercolors, and adhered it to the card front after tying some baker’s twine around the stems.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD404 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd403 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our amazing guest designer, Wanda Guess!
