Hi, everyone, welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! I’m hosting this week and I hope to see a lot of you participating. For my inspiration piece, I chose this gorgeous Fall scene.
And, much as I love Fall, I didn’t go with a Fall theme for my card, LOL! Instead, I did a Tropical theme! Go figure—you have to go where your creativity leads you, right? I’m using images from two sets—BB Polynesian Paradise and BB Penguins in Paradise along with the matching dies and Stitched Oval Frames Die-namics.
I watercolored my background with Peerless Watercolors and a waterbrush on Ranger Watercolor Paper, drew in sea gulls and added foam with a Uni-Ball White Gel Pen. My card base is from Sweet Tooth card stock, images were stamped on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink and colored with Copic markers.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD412 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd412 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented September Guest Designer, Karren Johnson!
