Hey, everyone, welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Lori is our hostess and she has a sweet pastel color palette for us to work with.
I thought these colors were kind of retro so I got out Kitschy Kitchen and Kitschy Kitchen Die-namics for this card. First, I stamped Small Brick Background on Sweet Tooth card stock with Cement Gray dye ink, stamped off once, stamped the sentiment from You Bake me Happy, then popped it up on a card base with a strip of Hearts & Stripes Paper Pack added down the right side.
Then I stamped the images with Bubblegum dye ink, Spearmint dye ink, Blu Raspberry dye ink, Cement Gray dye ink and and cut the images with the coordinating dies. I adhered them, popping some up for dimension, and finished off with some enamel dots.
And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD427 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd427 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented January Guest Designer, Leigh Penner! Since December was a short month, we’re keeping Leigh on for another month—I’m sure you’re as delighted about that as we are!
