countdownday2a_2017apr3

Hello and welcome to Day Two of MFT’s April Release Countdown! It’s getting really close—release is tomorrow night, April 3rd, at 9pm Eastern. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the release details. Today we’re previewing Blueprints 32 Die-namics, Four-Legged Friends, Four-Legged Friends Die-namics, Stitched Oval Word Windows Die-namics, and Diagonal Design Background.

NewReleaseCountdown_Day2

I have a couple of cards featuring these new products to share with you today, starting with this sweet pooch. To begin, I sponged the bottom of my card front on Smooth White card stock with Gravel Gray dye ink and created my clouds with Blue Breeze dye ink using a template cut with Stitched Cloudy Edges Die-namics. I stamped some daisies from Sow Much Cuteness from the March Release and also added some that were stamped and die cut along with the butterfly from the set.

I cut the sentiment element with Stitched Oval Word Windows Die-namics and popped up the stamped sentiment behind it on foam mounting tape then popped the whole thing up on foam tape after tying around some baker’s twine. Then I stamped the image from Four-Legged Friends on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored him with Copic markers, and popped him up on foam tape to finish off.

My second card features another pooch but I took my inspiration from
Blueprints 32 Die-namics for my design.

I worked on a Sweet Tooth card stock base and first of all stamped the sentiment on a strip of Black Licorice card stock with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Before I adhered it, I added a piece of Dots & Stripes Bright Paper Pack cut with Blueprints 32 Die-namics. Next I built my shaker element using Black & White Basics Paper Pack, Heat Resistant Acetate card stock, foam mounting tape, and Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Then I stamped the image from Four-Legged Friends on X-Press It Blending Card with Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored him with Copic markers, and popped him up on foam tape to the front of the shaker element. I cut the three hearts from Blueprints 32 Die-namics from, bottom to top, Red Hot card stock, Dots & Stripes Bright Paper Pack, and Wild Cherry card stock to finish off.

And that’s it for Day Two of
MFT’s April Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by—see you back tomorrow for Day One!
