Celebrate Your Day–CTD #452

CTD452_2017jul17

Hi, everyone, it’s time for a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! I’m hosting this week and I hope to see lots of you playing—let’s fill that gallery up! My color palette was inspired by this photo of a street in Notting Hill in London—this is of Porobello Road where there’s a fun market. I was there in May and saw it in person but my photo didn’t do it justice.

Soooo, for my card I decided to go mostly white with small amounts of the colors since they’re so bold. First off, I dry embossed some Sweet Tooth Card Stock with Radiating Rays Stencil and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth Card Stock base with foam mounting tape. Then I cut four copies of Celebrate Die-namics, adhered them together and to the card front.

I added images from Label Maker Love to finish the sentiment and balloons and little chickie from BB Happy Hippos and BB Happy Hippos Die-namics, stamped on No-Line Coloring Card Stock with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored with Copic Markers. Did you know MFT is stocking Copics now? Yep, AND refills—I’m a happy camper! I popped the images up on foam and finished off with some stars, cut from Silver Sparkle Card Stock with Blueprints 13 Die-namics and Blueprints 25 Die-namics. I love how this card turned out!

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the
Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD452 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd452 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our incredibly talented July Guest Designer, Tracey McNeely!
