  • The March Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm March 1st, with the hop also starting at the MFT Blog.
OK, so how sweet is this little bee??? I think it's just precious!!! I just love the look on that little face!!

I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I must say, this little bee was SO much fun to color!!! Cute, cute, CUTE!! You'll notice I used a die from the Say What? Die-namics Duo for my sentiment. Yep, this die is going to see lots of paper :) And, I used one of my favorite border dies - Little Open Scallop Strip.

And here's the inside. I stamped the little bee again, stamped off once, and then over stamped with the sentiment.

Just too sweet!!

And here are the Copic markers I used.

Thanks SO much for stopping by! Tomorrow is the last day of teasers! Hope to see you back here for that AND at the release party tomorrow night, as well as the Hop and Shop tomorrow night!

MFT March Teaser, Day Three!

It's Pure Innocence day at MFT teasers!! Just WAIT until you see what we have for you today!! There are five of 'em: Pure Innocence - Daffodil, Pure Innocence - Bunny Ears, Pure Innocence - Chickie, Pure Innocence - Girl Scout, and Pure Innocence - Boy Scout. Squeeeeeeeeal, right?! I'm going to show you Pure Innocence - Daffodil, but first...
  • The April Guest Designer Contest continues and ends on Monday, February 28 at 10 PM EST. The winner will be announced at the release party. Get the deets here.
  • Teasers continue and will be daily through Tuesday, March 1st. Head on over to the MFT blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with for today's teasers. • The March Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm March 1st, with the hop also starting at the MFT Blog.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, here's the daffodil on my March calendar page. I just LOVE having these cuties perched up on my stamping table where I can see them :)

Naturally, I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored her with Copic markers, then cut her out. The layout is basically the same every month, but I flipped it this time. Simple layout and I need to keep the embellishments to a minimum so they'll hang properly on the stand. See that lacy border that she's on? It's a brand new Die-namics die cut - Dizzy Border. So very lacy!! I love it!! I'm using the 2011 downloadable calendars now, obviously, but I've started switching them out at the end of each month for the 2012 version. So come January, I'll have my 2012 calendar done! I'm mounting just the calendar with repositionable tape so it comes off easily. The month tab was done with the Rounded Banner Die-namics die and the birthstone added.

I have some daffodils up about 6" now and this little cutie reminds me that before I know it they'll be blooming and Spring will be on it's way in earnest.

Here are the Copic markers I used:

Thanks SO much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with my day four teaser!

MFT March Teaser, Day Two!

Oh, MY! Did you love yesterday's teasers, or what?! Hang onto your hats, 'cause there's lots more to come :) Today we're showing you Say What? and Clearly Sentimental About Parenting. I'm going to show you Say What?, but first:
  • The April Guest Designer Contest continues and ends on Monday, February 28 at 10 PM EST. The winner will be announced at the release party. Get the deets here.
  • Teasers continue and will be daily through Tuesday, March 1st. Head on over to the MFT blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with for today's teasers. Every day there will be a prize hidden on two of the Creative Team's blog posts. Leaving a comment on every designer's blog post will give you the best chance of winning every day :) Check the MFT blog daily for the winners.
  • The March Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm March 1st, with the hop also starting at the MFT Blog.

And now, Say What?! YES!!! It's a Die-namics Duo set! There are several word bubbles in the stamp set, along with a ton of fabulous sentiments AND two word bubble dies! Awesome, right? Oh, yeah.

I decided to go a little funky with this new set and die. The word bubble outline was stamped on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and, of course, cut out with the matching die. Then I added the ellipsis, that is included in the set, and stuck some rhinestones on it. Then I added some bling, some silver cord (love that stuff) on top of the Simply Scallops Die-namics die cut border.

Another sentiment and another ellipsis/rhinestone combo on the inside. This is another set that I'm *sure* will see lots of ink from me.

This card is also for Crazy 4 Challenges #76. Check out the C4C blog for details.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Tomorrow is day three of teasers and you know what that means--yep, Pure Innocence! Just wait. That's all I'm sayin' ;-)

Happy Birthday, Jan Marie!!!!!

Let’s light the candles and strike up the music, the owner of Flourishes – Jan Marie Caruso – is celebrating a birthday and we’re helping her by getting the party started! Why not leave some love on the Flourishes blog HERE and while you are there, start to hop on through the Flourishes team members who are honoring her special day! And you can also hop on over to HER place on the web HERE and wish her a Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday Jan Marie!

I thought I'd use one of my favorite Flourishes sets - A Year In Flowers. I stamped the February flower from A Year In Flowers, Set 1 on Classic White card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored it with Copic markers. Then I cut it out and popped it up on foam on an element cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities dies. I stamped the sentiment on more Classic White card stock, cut it out with a Tags Trio die and added the birthstone for February. Then I added a bow with some matching twill and tied on the sentiment tag with a button and baker's twine. Wishing you the happiest birthday ever, Jan Marie!!

Now be sure to check out all the other Flourishes designers to see what they have!

Barbara Anders You are here!

Here are the Copic colors I used:

MFT March Teaser, Day One!

If you've seen the Freeze Frames this week at the MFT blog, you know you're in for a treat as we show you teasers for the next five days. Today we're showing you Fred Bear - Oopsie Daisy, Flapper Doodles - My Favorite Hello, and Sassy & Sweet. I'm showing you Sassy & Sweet, but first, a few little things you need to know:
  • The April Guest Designer Contest begins today and ends on Monday, February 28 at 10 PM EST. The winner will be announced at the release party. Get the deets here.
  • Teasers begin today and will be daily through Tuesday, March 1st.
OK, on to Sweet & Sassy :)

This set has the most delicious sentiments and fonts!!! I love them! And see the zebra and leopard prints on my sentiment layers? Yep, they're in the set too. Just a fantastic set that will be so versatile because you can truly be either sweet or sassy with it :)

See that flourish? Yep, that's in the set, too. I can see me using this set a LOT.

And see this new Die-namics set? It's made to go with this stamp set, but can't you just see the almost endless combinations you'll be able to come up with using this set and by adding some of the other Die-namics label dies? Be still my heart! Another awesome thing about this die set is that you don't have to worry about centering the stamp on top of the die cut--the dies are a little bit smaller than the zebra and leopard stamped images so you will always have a perfectly stamped die cut image! MFT thought of everything!

Are you as excited about this as I am? LOVE it ALL! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll have another teaser for you tomorrow so I hope to see you back then :)

Taylored Expressions February Blast From the Past Blog Hop

Are you ready to hop with Taylored Expressions' February Blast From the Past Blog Hop? This one sounded like so much fun I couldn't resist! The challenge is to "create a card featuring any Taylored Expressions Stamps released prior to December 2010! The theme for our February hop is "Going Green". You may choose to use the color green in your project or "Go Green" and incorporate a recycled element into your creation."

Soooooooooooo, I decided to use green on my card. And my green is from the February Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit.

A simple layout but I love how it turned out. The only things I used that are not in the kit are the pearl flourish and the stamped sentiment, which is from the Taylored Expressions set Faith and Hope. Thanks SO much for stopping by today!

~Supplies~
Stamps: Faith and Hope (Taylored Expressions)
Paper: February Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories: flowers, brad, ribbon (February Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit); pearl flourish (craft store)

A Fun Announcement At MFT

MFT is adding two new Creative Team Designers, starting with tomorrow's teaser. Find out all about it at the MFT blog!

This card is to celebrate their arrival--the sentiment says it all since I think they're both just AWESOME!! I can't wait to see what they'll have to inspire us!

That big ol' gorgeous butterfly is from Inspired By Butterflies (which is apparently temporarily out of stock) and the sentiment is from More Essential Sentiments. I love the contrast between the homespun look of the Fossil card stock and the stitching and the fancy gilt. The sentiment is stamped on part of the Layered Labels Die-namics set. Other MFT products I used: Bubblegum card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to stop by the MFT blog for the big announcement and then go give those two new designers some love :)

Wishing You a Beautiful Day - CTD #130 and MFTWSC #8

Good morning!! Are you ready for a couple of Wednesday challenges? I'm back with the Color Throwdown and this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge. My bestie, Tammy Hershberger, is the host this week for the Color Throwdown and here are the colors she has chosen:

And, here's the MFT Sketch - another fabulous sketch that I know I'll go back to again. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter.  The Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

So, here's my card. I decided to channel my sweet friend Silke and embrace some white. Nobody does that like Silke and I'll tell you, these colors really threw me for a loop. I sat and looked at the swatches for a long while before I decided to go with mostly white and use the colors for accents. And I ended up with a card I really like.

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD130 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

Discover Your Wings - Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients

Hi, everyone! I have a Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients project for you today! This month's kit is gorgeous! Every paper from My Mind's Eye is so elegant and there are flowers and ribbons so you know I'm happy :)

For the card above, I started with a vanilla base and added a layer of the aqua card stock included in the kit. Then I stamped one of my favorite images from Discover Your Wings with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Next I added a strip using the aqua patterned paper and the chocolate brown card stock in the kit and stamped the sentiment at the bottom. Then I added a piece of ribbon and a two-layer flower with a fancy brad - all from the kit. I added some punched out aqua leaves ('cause flowers gotta have leaves), and finally, I stamped a butterfly from the stamp set, cut it out, and popped it up on a little strip of foam.

If you haven't seen the projects that the Key Ingredients Team has posted at the Key Ingredients blog, you need to. Just sayin' ;-) You can find the Key Ingredients Blog HERE, and if you want to see the Key Ingredients Gallery, click HERE.

Thanks SO much for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday - C4C #75

It's Crazy 4 Challenges day so it must be Saturday, right? ;-) Yep, it is, and today's challenge is brought to us by Angela Wood: to use dies. Um, yeah, I can do that :)

We also have a sponsor today - Paper Pretties Stamps. You can get all the deets at the C4C blog.

I decided to go kinda CAS with this card, but I used several dies.

I stamped an image from PTI's Turning a New Leaf with Versamark on Kraft for my card base. Next, I added a strip of Dark Chocolate, cut with the Medium Scalloped Border die and a Spiral Notebook Page element stamped with the receipt from It's Official. to qualify for PTI's Make-It Monday Challenge, I added a vellum strip with the sentiment from Butterfly Dreams stamped in Dark Chocolate. Finally, I added a felt flower cut with Beautiful Blooms I dies and some paper leaves cut with a die from Leaf Prints. I finished it off with a button and some twine. I'm not sure I like the vellum spanning the Rustic Cream and Dark Chocolate papers - but it is what it is ;-)

Sooooo, NOW, be sure to check out the samples by the rest of my crazy girls...er, I mean the Crazy 4 Challenges team ;-)
THEN, you know what to do--we'd love to have you come along and play with us. Just do your thing with the challenge and link it to Mr. Linky on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Please link directly to your project. And, if you upload to a public gallery, please use the key word C4C75.

Thanks so much for dropping in today!

Flourishes Friday Free For All

Mornin' everyone! Today is Flourishes Friday Free For All! I have another card from the last release set From the Desk Of. Apparently, I just can't help but make a vintage card with this set ;-)

For this card, I stamped the letter packet image with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and stamped it off once before stamping on Classic White card stock. Then I colored it with very light colors so I could stamp the sentiment over it. Then I cut it out with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die and matted it with more die cut layers. The post card is from my patterned paper and was just perfect for this card. Some lace, some twine, and a die cut butterfly finish it off.

Now, be sure to hop around and see what the rest of the Flourishes team has for you using this set!
And, don't forget that this is the last day to take advantage of the New Release Bundle. You can find out all about that right HERE.

Also, don't forget about the Gambler's Sale that's ongoing. Selected items are now 20% off--don't take a chance on missing out of some fabulous products! Check it out HERE.

Hi there! I'm back with another installment of my Christmas Challenge. Are you tired of my letters yet? I'm getting there, LOL! But, I know I'll be happy come Christmas time if I have them all done. Since I wasn't able to post any last week, I have two sets this week.

OK, on to the letters.

First up is PEACE before:

Just a little somethin' on each letter, but I think overall there's a big difference in the look. OK, another set for next week: WELCOME.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll have another card using one of the latest Flourishes releases so I hope you'll stop by again!
