MFTWSC135_2013jul31

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s
MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

MFTWSC135

I got all scrappy with my card today. I started with a Berrylicious card stock base and added a Primitive White card stock layer into which I cut a Die-namics Fluttering Hearts element. For the bottom element, I stamped the chevrons from LLD Mod Borders in Orange Fizz ink, Berrylicious ink, and Sour Apple ink. I cut out a Die-namics LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Notepad from more Primitive White card stock and stamped the background from LLD Journal It – For the Record with Berrylicious ink and the “For the Record” in Black Licorice ink. I stamped a Washi Patterns image on a Die-namics Washi Tape die cut and added to the top. I finished off with a couple of Die-namics Hearts a Plenty, cut from Berrylicious card stock and Orange Fizz card stock and added a Black Licorice button tied with hemp cord and a few sequins.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

I have a card using LJD Splendid Sunflower and Die-namics LJD Splendid Sunflower today. I’m also using another new product being released this month: Die-namics Pierced Square STAX to emboss the frame behind the sunflower.

I stamped the die cut sunflower with Lemon Drop ink on Sweet Tooth card stock then added some shading with a Copic marker. I stamped the center with Sour Apple ink and the outer ring with Kraft ink. The leaves and stem were stamped with Jellybean Green ink and the leaves also go the Copic marker treatment. Everything was popped up on foam then popped up on a Sweet Tooth card base. I added the sentiment from the set on a Die-namics Sentiment Strips element and finished off with some enamel dots.

Here’s the inside with a sentiment from another new set this month, Sending Thanks.

Sunflower Hello–CTD #253

CTD253_2013jul31

Hey, there! It’s time for another
Color Throwdown challenge! Wanda has given us a bright, summer palette to play work with today.

swatch 253

Fun colors, right??? I was totally inspired by the inspiration photo, too, so I brought out my Die-namics Sunflower for this challenge. My card base is Smoky Slate that I stamped with Versamark and LJD Darling Dots to give it a little interest. Then I stamped my go to set, Abstract Art, in the challenge colors on Primitive White card stock. I made my leaves with Die-namics Royal Leaves and Smoky Slate card stock and finished off with some matching enamel dots. The sentiment is from LJD Pretty Poppies stamped with Smoky Slate ink.

Here’s the inside, with another sentiment from LJD Pretty Poppies.

Make Mine a Double–C4C #196

C4C196_2013jul27

Happy Saturday, Crazy fans! Today’s Crazy 4 Challenges is brought to us by Andrea and today she wants us to be inspired by a picnic. What images does the word “picnic” bring to your mind? For me it’s ice cream—gotta have some home made ice cream if we have a cookout or picnic.

So, I got out my PI – Make Mine a Double, because I usually do ;-)
I stamped her on my fave Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 110lb paper and colored her with Copic markers. Then I paired her with some happy patterned paper and stamped the sentiment on a Die-namics LLD Accent It – Flags & Tags die cut with Black Licorice ink and popped it up on foam.

For the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the set:
