Hi, everyone, welcome to this week’s Crazy 4 Challenges! Joanne is our host this month and here’s what she’s got for us this week: “My birthday is November 16. That day is also Button Day this year. Your challenge this week is to make a
feminine birthday card with buttons on it.”
Okey dokey, she want’s buttons, I’ll give her buttons, LOL! My card started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base. I added a strip of Sweet Tooth card stock stamped with Bold Diagonal Stripes Background and Black Licorice dye ink, then popped up a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock stenciled with molding paste through Large Grid Stencil. Then I added a rainbow of buttons, cut with Vintage Buttons Die-namics and Wild Cherry card stock, Orange Zest card stock, Sunshine card stock, Sour Apple card stock, Summer Splash card stock, Lush Lagoon card stock, Cornflower card stock, Grape Jelly card stock, Razzle Berry card stock.
I didn’t want any other color in them mix but I simply can’t leave a button naked, so I cut really narrow strips of matching card stock and threaded it through the holes before adding them to the card—some flush and some popped up on foam mounting tape. The sentiment is from Label Maker Sentiments and was stamped on Label Tape Die-namics with Black Licorice dye ink on Sweet Tooth card stock.
And that's it! Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you, including our November Guest Designer, Karen Dunbrook!
