I’m Your Piggest Fan–MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #348

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Challenge & Inspiration blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

I decided to pull out some products that haven’t seen any love in a while: Sow Much Cuteness and Sow Much Cuteness Die-namics. I was going for the no-line coloring look but my image outlines are too dark—probably because my Cement Gray hybrid ink pad is brand new. But I like how it turned out, despite that. Images were stamped on No-Line Coloring Card Stock and colored with Copic Markers. I used Stitched Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics for the vertical element and a sun and some clouds for the embellishment dots.



I colored the background with Copic Markers, used a strip of On-Point Patterns Paper Pack for the bottom horizontal element, and stamped the sentiment on Stitched Oval Word Windows Die-namics. Foam mounting tape was used for dimension.

Thanks Just For Being You - Color Throwdown #458

Hi, everyone, and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Today Lynn is our hostess and she has a bright back-to-school color palette for us to play with.




My card today could be used as a teacher appreciation card and can be either feminine or masculine, I think. I started by dry embossing some Sweet Tooth card stock with English Brick Wall Stencil for the background to suggest a school building. The colors were introduced but cutting Daffodil card stock, Red Hot card stock, and Green Room card stock with Color Drops STAX Die-namics and used them as a base for my sentiment.



For the sentiment, I cut Twice the Thanks from Black Licorice card stock, covered it with Glossy Accents, and adhered it to the color drop element. The rest of the sentiment is from Kind Thanks and was stamped with Versamark on Black Licorice card stock and heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. Foam mounting tape was used to create dimension for the sentiment strip and color drop element.
