Hello and welcome to Day One of MFT’s March Card Kit, Bundle of Balloons! The kit includes Balloon Alphabet Die-namics, Balloon Number Die-namics, and lots of colorful card stock.
OK, so I didn’t use colorful card stock for this card but I got the idea to do a snarky card instead ;-) I know 40 is the new 20, but it’s still a major birthday milestone and good for a joke, and typically cards celebrating 40 use black so that’s what I went with. Before I go on, however, let me share this fun thing that’s happening this month:
Five special prizes will be placed in five random card kit boxes. The prizes will be vouchers and will be in the following amounts: $25, $25, $25, $50, and $100. The gift vouchers will be placed inside hot pink balloons, which will be tucked into the five lucky card kit boxes. How exciting is that?!?!
The shaker element is the focal point of my card and I filled it with 4s and 0s from Confetti Numbers Die-namics along with some Micro Beads: Pollen and Gold Itty Bitty Stars. I added Happy Birthday Circle Frame around the opening and adhered it with Ultimate Crafts Diecut'N Bond Double-Sided Tape. This is the first time I’ve used this adhesive but it surely won’t be the last—it’s awesome!!!
The sentiment is from Delightful Dinosaurs and was heat embossed, then I added Balloon Numbers Die-namics, popped up on foam tape with gold cord strings. A strip of Black & White Stripes Paper Pack and some gold piping across the bottom ties everything together.
And that’s my snarky card for this kit ;-) I’ll be back tomorrow for Day Two with one that’s more colorful :) Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you soon!
