All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. I went with a CAS one-layer card for this week's colors. to begin, on No Line Coloring card stock, I sketched out a tree limb and stamped it using images from Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings Stamp Set and hand drew the limb with Copic markers.

Next I stamped the sentiment from Hand-Lettered Holiday Greetings and ornament image from BB Happy Pawlidays Stamp set with Extreme Black hybrid ink and colored the ornaments with Copic markers, as well. The string was hand drawn using a black Copic Multi-liner pen.

To complete the card, I popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base, covered with Gift Wrap Patterned Paper, with foam tape.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

With Gratitude - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #517

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wdnesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Since this is the day before Thanksgiving in the US, I had to make another Fall/Thanksgiving card for today. And nothing helped me do this better than one of my all-time favorite products, Falling Leave Die-namics. To begin, I cut them from Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and, using a number of Distress Inks (see supply list below) came up with three applications that I love. Not sure you can tell, but once they dried, I sponged the edges with gold pigment ink.

While the leaves were drying, I spread embossing paste on Sweet Tooth card stock through English Brick Wall Stencil and set it aside as well. While it was drying I heat embossed the sentiment from BB Fall Friends, on Black Licorice card stock cut with Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder.

When the card front was dry, I popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base, brushed it lightly with gold pigment ink, then adhered the sentiment and leaves with foam tape. To finish off, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew and was done!

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Happy Holidays - Color Throwdown Challenge #621

Hey there, it's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge!! This week Amy Rysavy is our hostess and she's got some holiday colors for us to play with,

To begin this card, I created a watercolor background using Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor paper, and when dry, spattered it with first clean water and then white craft paint and silver and black acrylic inks.

When that was dry, I popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base then adhered Snowflake Window Die-namics, cut from Silver Sparkle card stock, with foam tape as well. Next, I added the sentiment, from Bitty Birthday Wishes Stamp set, heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics.

To finish off and bring in the last two challenge colors, I added Holly Berries Die-namics, cut from No Line Coloring card stock and colored with Copic markers.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. MFT November Outside the Box - Happy Holidays

We're deep into the season of holiday crafting...are you still on the hunt for innovative holiday designs that will delight those special people on your Christmas card list? For this month's challenge, our team is sharing festive designs that make Happy Holidays a 3D affair — impressive cards that may just be on display long after 2021 has announced its arrival!

Hello, all, I love MFT's Outside the Box line of Die-namics so much!!  They make box cards just too easy!! For this one, I used Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics from the November Release--so cute and great for giving you a little more of a dimensional look. Along with that I used the also recently-release Outside the Box Snow Drifts and previously released Polar Penguins Stamp Set and Die-namics.

I used Sweet Tooth card stock for the box card base along with some Berrylicious card stock. After I added the snow drift shelves, I created a little area to represent water beneath the surface.

The images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and added to the shelves.

The sentiment was heat embossed on Red Hot card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics and popped up on foam tape.

Now, it's your turn. You have until Thursday, December 17, at noon EST to add your link and be eligible for the prize of a $50 MFT shopping spree. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

MFT November Birthday Project Challenge - Shaking it Up!

Sequins, confetti, even candy sprinkles — all are GREAT options to add to a birthday shaker card to reinforce the theme and add a super fun "shicka shicka" shaker sound for your recipient to enjoy. If you haven't tried a shaker card yet — today's samples from the team are sure to encourage you to give it a shot! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details!

How about a wine glass full of sequins to celebrate a birthday! For this card, I started by creating my shaker element by cutting Wine Glass Shaker Window and Frame Die-namics and completing it as a "stand alone" shaker element. That is, it's not inserted in the card front but sits on top. Once that was done I turned my attention to the card front.

To do this I first sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock then spattered it with white and red craft ink and silver acrylic ink. That was popped up on a Sweet Tooth card stock edges with paper from Christmas Cheer Patterned paper.

Next I adhered the wine glass to the card front, added the jaunty Santa hat from Merry and Bright with all the Trimmings Die-namics and finished off with the sentiment, from Sassy Pants Holiday Too Stamp Set heat embossed on Red Hot card stock cut with Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

I couldn't resist adding this snarky sentiment from the same set to the inside of the card.

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!

Joy to the World - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #516

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

The minute I saw this globe image from MFT's just-released Miss Your Hugs Card Kit I wanted to use it at a Christmas Ornament. I almost did it during Countdown but saw this sketch first and knew it would work so well with it so I held off ;-)

To begin, I stamped the globe image using Berrylicious and Gumdrop Green dye inks and cut it out with the coordinating Die-namics. The "ornament cap was cut from Gold Shine card stock with Tag Builder Blueprints 6, and adhered with glue. Next I cut Tall Snow Globe Die-namics from Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and sponged the night sky background using Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks, covered it with Ranger Micro Glaze, and spattered it with slightly watered-down white craft paint for the stars. The stamped globe ornament was adhered with foam tape and "tied on" with hemp cord.

Next I covered a Sweet Tooth card stock base with Gift Wrap Patterned Paper. I cut two versions of Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and sandwiched the snow globe die cut between them with foam tape after stamping the sentiment from Bitty Holiday Wishes on the top one. To finish off, I added some stars, cut from Silver Sparkle and Gold Sparkle card stock cut with Tag Builder Blueprints Die-namics.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

So Thankful for You - Color Throwdown Challenge #620

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! This week Wanda is our hostess and she has a fun color combo for us to play with.

I mentioned when Falling Leaves Die-namics was in the last Vault Release that they are so versatile and I'm here to prove it. They are the perfect accent for so many styles and designs. For this card, I cut them from Ranger Watercolor paper, applied Peerless Watercolors, spattered with clean water and black acrylic ink with gold pigment ink brushed on the edges.

The background was created by sponging Tumbled Glass Distress ink on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock then popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base with a strip of Black & White Stripes Patterned Paper along one side. To add some interest, I cut A2 Rectangle Frames from birch wood sheet and popped them up on foam in a staggered pattern.

Next I adhered the leaves and a sentiment from Bitty Thanks and Gratitude Stamp Set heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics.
