Introducing Rachelle Anne Miller Line at MFT--Countdown Day Two!

We are excited to let you know that we are launching our new line of stamps and Die-namics by Rachelle Anne Miller. These new stamp designs are SO adorable and we can't wait to show them to you! Release is on February 2 at 10am Eastern so make a note. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for all the details! Today we're previewing Fairy-Tale Friendship Stamp Set, Fairy-Tale Friendship Die-namics, Care of My Heart Stamp Set, Care of My Heart Die-namics, A Very Sweet Somebunny Stamp Set, and A Very Sweet Somebunny Die-namics.

I'm using A Very Sweet Somebunny Stamp Set and Die-namics to create a sweet woodland scene. To create my sky, I sponged Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Broken China Distress Ink and spattered with clean water then adhered to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape.

Next I added Birch Trees Die-namics cut from Sweet Tooth card stock backed with Gravel Gray card stock with Sour Apple and Limelight card stocks for the leaves. More Sour Apple card stock was cut with Grassy Hills Die-namics. These elements and the birch trees were both adhered directly to the card front and popped up on foam to create dimension.

Once this was all done the images were stamped on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut with the coordinating Die-namics, colored with Copic markers, and popped up in the scene with foam tape. The sentiment was heat embossed on Black Licorice cardstock cut with Fishtail Foundations Die-namics and likewise popped up on foam tape for the finish.

And there you have it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for Day Two of MFT's Rachelle Anne Miller Mini Release!

I Miss Your Hugs - MFT Color Challenge #158

Hi, all, I'm back with the latest MFT Color Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s color combo: Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, Cement Gray, and Black Licorice. All of the details about the color challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Oooooo, I love these colors!! They could certainly be Valentine's Day colors but I went in another direction with them. I also love Trendy Triangles Die-namics and couldn't wait to create a card using them as the main elements. I cut Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, and Cement Gray card stock using the dies and set them aside.

I did a trial arrangement until I was happy with it then stamped Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, and Cement Gray dye ink with Distressed Patterns Stamp Set on Sweet Tooth card stock for the background, Then I put the triangles back, adhered both directly and popped up on foam.

A sentiment from Lots of Hugs Stamp Set was heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock cut with Skinny Strips Die-namics also popped up on foam. Twice the Hugs Die-namics was cut from Silver Sparkle card stock, layered on two copies cut from white card stock scraps, and adhered under the heat embossed sentiment strip for the finish.

Sending You Oceans of Love - MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #526

Hi, everyone, I’m back with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Since oval Die-namics have all been retired, the only thing I have with an oval is Oval Extraordinaire Stencil so that's what I went with. First, I sponged Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink through the stencil on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper then adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base.

Next I stamped images from BB Mermazing on No Line Coloring card stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers.

The sentiment was stamped on the card front and the images adhered, some directly to the card front and others on foam tape.

And there you have it! Now it’s YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 in MFT voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

Be Happy - Color Throwdown Challenge #627

Hello and welcome to a brand new Color Throwdown Challenge! Lori is our hostess today and she has some wintry hues for us based on her comfy-looking inspiration piece.

I went super CAS today, starting by covering a Sweet Tooth card stock base with Summertime Polka Dots patterned paper.

Next I heat embossed another panel of Sweet Tooth card stock with All Lined Up Diagonally Background with white detail embossing powder. Then I cut Be Happy Die-namics from Cotton Candy, Blue Yonder, and Cement Gray card stocks once and twice with white scraps, stacking them for dimension.

The stacked die cuts were adhered to the card front along with a sentiment from I Miss Your Hugs Stamp set, heat embossed on Heavyweight Translucent Vellum with white detail embossing powder and popped up on clear foam tape. I finished off with some enamel dots in the challenge colors.

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword #CTD627 so we can see your beauty all in one place, and use #ctd627 and #colorthrowdown on social media. Hope to see you there! I thought the "Friend" from Friend & Friendship Die-namics would make a great shaker element and I was right! To begin, I heat embossed Best Friend Background on Eiffel Tower card stock with white detail embossing powder and cut the Friend out.

I created my shaker element with clear card stock, foam tape, and clear and gray seed beads, closed it up with Butterscotch card stock, and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth card stock base after tying around some baker's twine.

The sentiment, from Friendship Stamp Set, was stamped with Gravel Gray on Sweet Tooth card stock cut with What Friendship Means Die-namics. The border is from the same set and stamped with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink.

Once everything was assembled, I finished off with some enamel dots.

For today's card I brought some flowers on board. Flower Silhouettes is one of my favorite stamp sets and I thought it would pair beautifully with these lovely sentiments and the new Boxed-in Banners Die-namics, which I'm in love with!

Again I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and cut another panel of Sweet Tooth card stock for my card front. Next I stamped up a bunch of Flower Silhouettes using Gravel Gray dye ink and Fossilized Amber Distress Ink. Then  I created the banner, cutting it from Sweet Tooth card stock and the border from the new Butterscotch card stock. The sentiment, from What Friendship Means Stamp set was stamped with Gravel Gray dye ink.

Once all that was done I did a trial layout of the flowers and banner, and stamped the bottom sentiment, also from What Friendship Means Stamp Set and popped it up on the card base with foam tape. Next I adhered the banner with foam tape just at the ends. The flowers stems were trimmed and hidden under the banner--some adhered directly to the card front and some popped up on foam for dimension. To finish off I added some enamel dots.

And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for MFT's Friendship Card Kit Release!

MFT has some new card stock colors releasing in the future. You'll notice two of them are in this kit and I'm loving both of them. For this card, I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base and cut another panel for my card front.

Then I cut strips of both new card stocks with Slimline Starter Die-namics and adhered them diagonally onto the card front. Once that was done and trimmed I adhered it to the card base with foam tape.

Next I cut "Friendship" (from Friends & Friendship Die-namics) from Eiffel Tower card stock and twice from white scraps, stacked them together and adhered them to the card front. The rest of the sentiment is from Friendship Stamp Set and was stamped on Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Fishtail Foundations Die-namics and popped up on foam, and finished off with some enamel dots
