Warm Hospitality--Sketches {by Tamara} #86
This is my first card as a team member for Sketches {by Tamara}. LOVE this sketch--it allowed me to use this DP from the Memory Box 6 x 6 pad called Sugardrop to it's best advantage, I think. Here's the sketch:
My base card is Whisper White with layers of Pink Pirouette and the DP. The focal image uses stamps from PTI's Quilter's Sampler, was stamped on Gina K. Pure Luxury 80 lb paper with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and was colored with Copic markers (see below for colors used).
The quilt blocks were punched out with a 3/4" square punch and matted with Pink Pirouette that was cut out with a Small scalloped square Nestabilities die. Then they were each popped up on 3M foam squares on a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock which was, in turn, attached with foam squares. The sentiment, from the same set, was stamped in the same way as the quilt squares, and cut/embossed with a Spellbinders ribbon slider die. It was attached to the card with pale pink double-sided satin ribbon and accented with a button from my stash.
Check out the sketch at the Sketches {by Tamara} blog and give it a try--we'd love to see what you come up with!

ReplyDeleteWoohoo, I love what you've done on your first card. That DP is beautiful and I still love these quilt blocks, although I haven't gotten them yet! I like that sketch, too, maybe I will have time to play today!

Ohhh... I love your card! Especially the difference between the 'whimsy' background with all the flourishes at the bottom and the geometrical squares as focal point .. that's totally cool!
