Embellished Season--Color Throwdown #63

It's Wednesday, so I have another Color Throwdown challenge for you. This week's hostess is the talented Cathy and she's got some great colors picked out: olive green, dark yellow, dark brown, and kraft.
And, it's another sponsor week. This week our sponsor is Unity Stamps. You can get all the details at the Color Throwdown blog.

I was sent a set of Christmas ornament stamps named Embellished Season to work with and I love them!!! The colors for this week suggested primitive to me, so I went with that thought, even though these ornaments could certainly be done with an elegant theme. I started by stamping the ornament image on Old Olive with Chocolate Chip Craft ink and heat embossing with clear detail embossing powder. The cap I did with More Mustard paper and Craft ink and cut both pieces out. The Kraft DSP is from a SU! hostess patterns pack on which I stamped the sentiment. I started to emboss that, too, but decided not to take any of the attention from the ornament. Then I added two strips of green and tan gingham ribbon, pulled together with a button and twine (both from PTI). And that's about it except for some paper piercing around the card base. It was really hard for me to limit myself but I think I showed admirable restaint, LOL! This is about as CAS as I get ;-)

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. And don't forget--this week there's a chance to win a prize or to be chosen as Featured Stamper. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use Mr. Linky to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily and so you'll be eligible to win (only directly linked entries will be considered for Featured Stamper or for the prize--see the sidebar on the blog for all the details). If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD63 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there!

Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, and give our October Guest Designer, Lisa Kind, a warm welcome!
