And, we also have a sponsor this week: Starving Artistamps. You can get the skinny on them and the very generous prize they're offering for some lucky participant this week at the Throwdown blog.
For my card, I chose to use Kraft as my base and to try to go CAS. And, I guess it's a one layer card, if you ignore the paper piecing ;-) I'm actually using the sketch for SCS CAS challenge this week for my layout. Sorta.
I stamped the row of houses image first on the Kraft card base and then again on a Perfect Paper Panel. Then I colored it with Copic markers, cut each piece out separately, and glued them to the Kraft base with my Quickie Glue Pen. Then I stamped the sentiment, tied on the Ripe Avocado grosgrain ribbon with some Vintage Buttons (in Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush) and Rustic Twine and it was done!
Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use Mr. Linky to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD78 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! And be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week! And, welcome to February's Guest Designer: Debi Southard!
