My Favorite Things Teaser - Day Three

Been liking what you're seein' so far? I'm just head over heels in love with every set this month! Today we're showing the new Pure Innocence sets. My Favorite Things has three new ones this month, and today I'm showing you 'Blooming Good Day'. This is just the perfect image to use on a card that doubles as a gift package for a pack of seeds. I think this would be a perfect little gifty for anyone who loves to garden.

I stamped the image on a Perfect Paper Panel with Tuxedo Black ink, paper pieced the dress and colored the rest with Copic markers. The card layout is very simple so I won't go into that.

Here's the inside with the pocket for the seed packet.

In order to have room for the seeds, I found the center of the base card and scored on either side of it to make a 1/4" "top" section.

Here you can see how the seed packet fits inside the card.

To make the "pocket", I measuerd the seed packet width, added 1/4" for the depth, and another 1/4" on either side and the bottom to provide a surface with which to adhere the pocket to the card base.

First I decorated the inside of the card. Then I scored both sides and the bottom of the pocket at 1/4" and 1/2", folded those under, and stuck the pocket to the base using red line tape. You can see the dimension in this picture.

Hope this gives you a little inspiration for using this image. Spring is not far away and planting time will soon follow :)
