MFT January Teaser, Day Three!

It's time for day three of the MFT January teasers. It just gets better and better, doesn't it? Today we're previewing five new Pure Innocence sets - Because You're Special, Ladybug, Carnation,  World's Best Doctor, and Peek-a-Boo. But first, a public service announcement ;-)
  • The January Guest Designer Contest continues and ends on Monday, January 3rd at 10 PM EST. The winner will be announced at the release party. Get the deets here.
  • Teasers continue daily through Tuesday, January 4th. Head on over to Kim's blog to see what the rest of the team has come up with for today's teasers. Every day there will be a prize hidden on two of the Creative Team's blog posts. Leaving a comment on every designer's blog post will give you the best chance of winning every day :) Check the MFT blog daily for the winners.
  • The January Hop and Shop will begin at 10:00pm January 4th, with the hop also starting at Kim's Blog.
I'm showing you PI - Carnation. This is the first in a whole new series of PIs that are flower of the month sets. I'm over the moon excited about this new series. I've had this calendar stand and chipboard bases for a while just trying to decide how to make my calendar. I need one on my stamping table and it needed to have a small footprint and this one works really well in my space. For some reason I hadn't started working on the calendar--and this must be why, LOL! I was waiting for the PI flower of the month without even knowing it.

First in the series is PI - Carnation for January. I stamped my little sweetie on a Perfect Paper Panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored her with Copic markers, then cut her out. I re-sized (to fit my space) the MFT downloadable calendar pages and printed them off, then I matted it and adhered it to the base that had been covered with card stock and patterned paper. I used the Rounded Banner Die-namics die for the tab on which I stamped the month and added the birthstone for January. Other MFT products I used are Hot Fudge card stock, twill, and Chocolate Kiss button collection.

Here's the stand with the calendar hanging in place. Sorry about this picture. It's too tall to fit in my light box so I did the best I could.

A close up of the calendar on the stand.

And here are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you back tomorrow for another teaser!
