I actually have a Lenten Rose blooming right now--it's so nice to see these gorgeous flowers in late winter when there's nothing else blooming--it lets us know that Spring really *is* around the corner. The images in this set are a great size for coloring and I had such fun doing it!
I stamped the image on Classic White card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink before coloring with Copic markers. Then I "fussy cut" it out. For the card base, I'm using Basic Grey's Kioshi paper, around which I machine stitched. With more patterned paper and Spellbinders' Petite Oval Nestabilities and my Grand Calibur, I cut out the next element, matting it with a scalloped layer. I stamped the sentiment at the top of that element, and tied a silky ribbon under it (it's really a dark purple, not black--I couldn't get it the right color without washing the image out). Finally I popped my image up on foam and added some flat back pearls for balance.
