Sew Nifty - MFT July Teaser, Day Two

Amazing projects yesterday, right? Today we're showing you Sew Nifty Die-namics and Stamp Set, Jolinne - Always Wear a Smile, and Claire Keay - Ahoy Matey. I have a Sew Nifty project to show you, but first, here are the details about the upcoming release on July 5 at 10 PM EST:

And now, Sew Nifty Die-namics and Stamp Set. When I was in Ohio at Stamping Around, I went to a Pat Catan's craft store. First time for me and I had a grand time picking up alterables. NOT that I didn't have plenty already, but his little basket caught my eye--I knew it would be PERFECT for this set!

First thing I did was to cover the top with patterned paper, adhered with Mod Podge. Then I added the bling - the pearls of which were white and I colored them with a Copic marker. Then I started adding the die cut elements.

I wrapped the spool with embroidery floss and paper pieced a green layer on the dress form.

I cut the flower out of a dress pattern with the Pretty Posies Die-namics die, adhered it to a seam binding bow, and added some Copic colored pearl stick pins.

I tied these super sweet little charms onto the lace with more embroidery floss.

Finally, using the label die from You Move Me, I stamped the sewing machine image (stamped off twice) and then overstamped the sentiment from Sew Nifty.

Before I decorated the top, I made a liner for the basket, so it's pretty inside and out. I love how it turned out - pretty and functional. All of my sewing stuff is packed up in totes and I have to dig out anything I need. This little basket is not very large, but it will hold lots of small essentials that get used the most, so I can keep them out and handy. I hope my little basket will inspire you to try your own Sew Nifty project.

Thanks SEW (sorry, couldn't resist!) much for stopping by today! Tomorrow's Day Three, sew you know that means Pure Innocence! Hope to see you back then!
