It's sad to say, but the daylight hours will start to get shorter and the summer will start to fade. Let's honor the change of seasons with our Shades of Sunset challenge. This challenge is open to interpretation. Sunsets are so unique - some show mostly shades of red and orange, others can light up the sky with purple and pink hues. Pick your favorite sunset colors and get inspired! FLLCAUG11. Deadline is August 12 @ 5PMEST.
Isn't' that graphic gorgeous?! I don't mind telling you that I'm ready for the change of seasons--this summer has been so brutal--it needs to be over!!
I decided to use Kid's Play for my card and airbrushed the background on Classic Ivory card stock with my Copic markers to resemble the inspiration piece. I was inspired to get out my Basic Grey Indian Summer paper--maybe because I can't wait for fall? I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut it out with my Grand Calibur and Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. I added a strip of black lace and a sheer ribbon and bow, the the sentiment, which was cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities.
The inside has another sentiment from the set. I thought this would be perfect for a fall birthday card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Team has to show you today.
