Flourishes March Release Noon-Time Challenge: Front and Back

noonchallenge_2012mar15tmk

Are you ready for another challenge?

HOW TO PLAY: To play in the “front” and “back” challenge, all you need to do is use the same image in the foreground for your main image as you use in the background! Have a beautiful focal image? Why not use that same stamp as a subtle background? The way you take on this challenge is up to you – just make sure you can see the same image in the foreground and background of your creation! If you upload to a gallery, please use the keyword FLLCMARRW2. Entries must be in before Friday, March 16 at 5PM EST. To enter, make sure you link up your creation over on the Front and Back Challenge post over on the Flourishes blog using the Inlinkz widget!

Flourishes Blog.

I love to use Versamark on Kraft card stock so that’s what I did. It’s subtle but definitely there, and darkens up a bit after you stamp it. So, my card base was made with Classic White card stock, then I added a green layer, and finally my Versamark-stamped Kraft layer. After the Versamark dried, I overstamped my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and added some tiny pearls as accents.

I added a bow with this
cotton linen ribbon and then popped up my colored image on foam dots. My focal image is the second flower in the new Botanical Bookplate Vol 1 set, snowdrops. I have some of these and I love it when they bloom—they say that Spring can’t be far behind. I stamped it with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, colored it with these Copic collections…

… and cut it out with the new Tailor-Made Classic Bookplate Template die.

On the inside, I stamped the same image I used on the background once, and over stamped with another sentiment from the set.
