I decided to do a gift card holder for a graduation gift. I figure that’s what new graduates need most, right? I went with a major credit card so it could be used anywhere a credit card can be used.

I thought since this set is all about knowledge, I would try to make the card look like a book, so I did the outside very simply and added a spine reinforcement to get the bound-book look. The “title” was stamped on  the oval from Die-namics Well Worn Greetings, then matted with a Die-namics Oval Decorative Doily Duo die cut. I added a Die-namics Royal Rose to the “title”, along with a couple Die-namics Royal Leaf accents. COULD. NOT. RESIST.

Now the inside. To make the card holder, I cut a piece of card stock to fit, then I used my Die-namics Circle STAX to cut out the notch. Sweet. The sentiment on this side is from Big Greetings, currently the Triple Scoop set, but will be available on it’s own on April 3rd at 10pm.

Here’s a close up—I added some Die-namics Stacking Stars to add a little pizazz ;-)

Here’s the other side, with a mortarboard and another sentiment from the set.

With all the layers and the gift card inside, it was just a little bulky, so I thought one of these tiny little paper clips would be a good way to keep it shut.

Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this project:
