MFT May Teaser, Day Six

Alrighty, it’s Pure Innocence day! Today we have for you PI - Baseball Boy, PI - Goldfish Girl, PI - Home Sweet Home, PI - Giraffe Girl, PI – Freckles, and All Occasion Sentiments (small sentiment set with all occasion sentiments that are "must haves" in PI font). I just love this little guy! Isn’t he adorable??!! He’s stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. After I finished coloring him, I cut him out with one of the soon-to-be-released Rectangle STAX dies and then matted him with another one. I tied some black twine around in a bow, and hung the sentiment, stamped on a baseball that I cut with my Die-namics All Star die. Before I added it to the twine, I used a red fine point pen and drew in the stitching. Fun!

Today we’re showing you à la modes I've Got UR Back and Lightbulb Moment. I love them both and chose to use Lightbulb Moment for today’s card. After I stamped the image, I paper pieced her pants and colored the rest with Copic markers. After I trimmed the image and sponged the edges, I applied Glossy Accents to the light bulb—I hope you can see it in this picture:

I stamped the sentiment on a Die-namics Bracket Tab and caught it up in the stitching, then popped the focal image up on foam dots. I finished up with some twine and a new Die-namics Large Royal Rose in felt and Die-namics Royal Leaves from patterned paper.

Today we’re previewing Girly Graphic Tee Die-namics and Stamp Set and Vertical Greetings II Die-namics and Stamp Set.

I’m using Girly Graphic Tee Die-namics and Stamp Set for my card, obviously :) I cut the tee shirt from patterned paper and stamped the sentiment with red and brown ink, then popped it up on a Die-namics Oval STAX element made of two layers stitched together. I’m also using the new release Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and last month’s Die-namics Royal Leaves. Some stitching and some bling (teachers like bling, too!) finish it off!

Just Fur You–C4C #134

Welcome to this week’s Crazy 4 Challenges! This is Cindy’s last challenge for the month and this week she’s challenging us to paper piece. I looooooooooove to paper piece :)

I’m using a set that MFT will be releasing on May 1 at 10pm: Claire Keay - You A-mews Me. Isn’t it adorable??? Being it’s a cat, you know I love it!

I stamped the image on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper and again on the patterned paper. I love this cat spotted paper! Then I cut the patterned paper out and adhered it. When I was cutting it out, I cut out the ear triangles and colored them with Copic markers on the base image. I stamped the image a third time to get just the nose, which I colored and cut out, then adhered to the patterned paper layer to add just a bit more dimension.

Then I cut the entire thing out with my soon to be released Die-namics Rectangle STAX dies. I used one from each set to get a nice mat. I stamped the sentiment from the set and then added the horizontal element, with edges created with another die to be released on May 1: Die-namics Mini Scalloped Edge.

Flourishes Friday Focus–From the Garden

Welcome to Flourishes Friday Focus! Today we’re focusing on one of my favorite sets: From the Garden.

I decided to do a trio of the gorgeous geranium image, the colors inspired by the patterned paper. First of all I stamped the images (the pot, the grass sprigs, and the floral top are separate and need to be masked to look their best) on Classic Ivory card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and colored them with these Copic collections:

Crocus Collection:



Hollyhock Collection:



Then I cut them out with my Labels Four Nestabilities and my Grand Calibur, sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and popped them up on the card. I used Spellbinders’ Classic Triple Scallop Edgeabilities and the fishtail from Nested Pennants for my sentiment. Some stitching and a twine-tied button finish it off!

Not only do we have a new Clearly Sentimental About Art set, we have an Artist Palette & Brush Die-namics set to go with it! I am in love with these two sets!

I went all colorful with my card for today. The card layout is pretty plain, but I assembled my palette to include many of the colors in the patterned paper, as well as adding twine and buttons to coordinate. I cut the palette from Fossil card stock and then just rummaged through my scrap drawers for bits of color to add. I cut the brush from Sweet Tooth card stock, colored it with Copic markers, and added some silver pen to the ferrule to make it authentic :)
