Flourishes Friday Focus–From the Garden

fromthegardenfocus_2012apr27wtmk

Welcome to Flourishes Friday Focus! Today we’re focusing on one of my favorite sets: From the Garden.

I decided to do a trio of the gorgeous geranium image, the colors inspired by the patterned paper. First of all I stamped the images (the pot, the grass sprigs, and the floral top are separate and need to be masked to look their best) on
Classic Ivory card stock with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and colored them with these Copic collections:

Tiger Lily Collection:

Evergreen Collection:

Crocus Collection:

Hollyhock Collection:

Then I cut them out with my Labels Four Nestabilities and my Grand Calibur, sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and popped them up on the card. I used Spellbinders’ Classic Triple Scallop Edgeabilities and the fishtail from Nested Pennants for my sentiment. Some stitching and a twine-tied button finish it off!

Now, be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has for you today...

  2. Well done Barara! All of the attention to details adds great interest. These make me think of the pots of geraniums that brighten entryways to homes and walkways along towns main streets each summer.
