Happy Monday! Things are popping out here and I thought I’d show you a few lovelies from my garden today.
OK, these deer were not in MY garden, but right next door at my neighbor’s. They will ravage my garden if I let them, but I found a wonderful product call Deer Scram that actually WORKS!! It’s not cheap, but it works :) (Insert the usual disclaimer here—I’m just a very satisfied customer.)
‘Immortality’ (re-blooming iris). This iris will re-bloom in the fall.

Duchesse de Brabant (Tea rose, 1857).
Old Blush (China rose, ~1793). This rose blooms over and over all summer and is so sweet!

Gazebo. Those azaleas are over 35 years old and need a serious pruning!
Goldfish in front pond. Three of them are shown—we had nine at one time and they’ve gradually died or been killed by predators. Looks like we’re down to four now :(
Evelyn (English, 1991). This rose, by David Austin, was hybridized by request of Crabtree & Evelyn, and is used in their signature fragrance line. One sniff and you know why. It’s not hard to look at, either ;-)
I planted three pots of ever-bearing strawberries a couple of years ago. This pot is doing particularly well and I should get a berry or two throughout the summer--if I keep the birds off of them ;-) I planted 25 plants in beds this year so hopefully there will be more from them.

Beautiful and peaceful looking. How do you get anything done with such a gorgeous yard to distract you? But then again I guess it also can inspire you. :) Thanks for sharing. Don't you just love roses.
