Hello, Friend–CTD #191

CTD191_2012may9

Hi, all! I’m back again with this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge! This week, Lynn is our host and has chosen a gorgeous palette for us to work with.

Aren’t those some gorgeous colors together? Love ‘em! I decided to go really CAS so none of the colors would get lost. I’ve had this idea simmering in the back of my mind for a while and I thought this was the perfect time to drag it out :)

First of all, I decided where I wanted the sentiment and stamped that, from
MFT’s Finishing Flourishes set, then I cut out two of each color with my Die-namics Butterflies dies, added some gems to their bodies, and popped them up on foam. To finish it off, I added three gems over the sentiment. SO simple but I love it!

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set. I added another card stock layer to give it more body.

Here is the
Die-namics die I used for this card:

Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the
Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD191 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week.
