Be Yourself–CTD #237

CTD237_2013apr10
Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s Color Throwdown day and today my bestie, Tammy, has picked a gorgeous color combo inspired by some equally gorgeous patterned paper. Now, we have Night Of Navy on the swatch, but IRL the paper in the collection is a VERY, VERY dark navy and could even be considered black, so either one you want to use is fine—in fact I did use black for my card.

Speaking of my card, it’s a CAS design that I love—Retro Sketches #53. You might see me using this sketch again :) I’m using MFT Kraft card stock for my card base. I stamped the sentiment, from Clearly Sentimental About Art, on a Die-namics Layered Label die cut with Black Licorice ink, sponged the edges, and popped it up on foam—on top of some Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX cut patterned paper strips. The only thing left to do was add some hemp cord tied Black Licorice buttons and it was done!

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD237 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week.
