It’s Time To Celebrate - MFTWSC #120

MFTWSC120_2013apr17

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. You can find the sketch on the MFT blog and also in the MFT forum on SCS, as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Yes, I really did use this sketch ;-) I flipped it and also did something different for the side element—it’s just the way it turned out in the creative process.

I’m using Whip Cream card stock for my base, with a mat of Steel Gray card stock under my patterned paper layer. Using the balloon from this month’s WBD Cupcake Cutie set, I stamped it on five different patterned papers, cut them out, and laid them out to see how I wanted to arrange them. Then I stamped the stems from LJD Pretty Poppies for strings and adhered the balloons, three of which I popped up on foam. I stamped the sentiment, from WTG Who’s That Birthday Girl, on Whip Cream card stock with Black Licorice ink on a Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon flag and layered it with the larger one using Steel Gray card stock. This was popped up on foam, and to finish it all off I did some sponging and added a clear jewel trio for a little balance.

Here’s the inside with another sentiment from the set:

And that’s it! Thanks so much for stopping by!
