Have a Sweet Christmas - MFTWSC #145

MFTWSC145_2013oct9

Hi, everyone, I’m back again with this week’s
MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here’s this week’s sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

Today I’m using a just-released set, Sunny Day Doodles Sweet Christmas. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a Kraft card stock layer, popped up on foam. I stamped a piece of Sweet Tooth card stock with Plaid Builder Background and Red Hot ink—I love how this looks like peppermint stripe! Then I stamped the new Sheet Music Background with Black Licorice ink on Sweet Tooth card stock and cut it out with LLD Insert It – 3 x 4 Notepad Die-namics and adhered it.

I tied around some hemp twine, then I cut a piece of Black Licorice card stock with the also newly-released Pierced Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics and stamped the image with Sweet Tooth pigment ink. I heat embossed and did a little chalkboard technique, then popped it up on foam. To finish it off, I added a Red Hot button and some holly leaves cut from Gumdrop Green card stock using Jumbo Stocking Die-namics.

I stamped the sentiment, from the same set, on the inside with Black Licorice ink.
