Vintage Frames–MFT November Release Countdown, Day Seven

teaserday1a_2013nov6

Hi, everyone! I’m back with MFT’s November Release Countdown, Day Seven! I can’t believe how fast time is flying—did I say that last month? Yeah, I guess I did.

You’re going to LOVE what MFT has for you this month! Release is on November 12th at 10pm, but in the meantime, be sure to hop on over to the MFT Blog to see what the participating designers have for you today, along with some ways to snag some free stuff!

Among other things, today we’re previewing a new stamp set and Die-namics die from Lisa Johnson, LJD Vintage Frames and LJD Vintage Frame Die-namics. I have two cards for you using these new products—I wanted to show that this set could go both masculine and feminine in design.

For the masculine version, I started with a Chocolate Brown card stock base—yep, Chocolate Brown is a new color this month. It’s a rich warm brown and I love it. Then I stamped some LJD Art Expression Text on some Primitive White card stock with Chocolate Brown ink, and added a strip of that, then a strip of another new color for this month: Safety Orange card stock. Don’t let the name fool you, it’s not really orange, much more of a mustard color that is a great addition to the MFT color collection. Then, I stamped Woodgrain Background on Kraft card stock with Kraft ink and popped it up on foam. Woodgrain Background is the next offering in MFT’s large red rubber backgrounds and it’s just plain awesome!

Next I cut out a Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics from Chocolate Brown card stock and adhered it. I then cut out LJD Vintage Frame Die-namics from Primitive White card stock and stamped the least fancy frame from LJD Vintage Frames with Safety Orange ink. I stamped the sentiment, also from the set, on a new Pierced Oval STAX Die-namics die cut with Chocolate Brown ink and popped them up on foam.

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the set with Chocolate Brown ink—I love how these sentiments fit in the frame or can stand alone.

For my feminine card, I brought out a couple more new products.

I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then added a layer embossed with the new Chevron Cover-Up Die-namics. I love how this looks and I can already tell this is going to get a lot of use from me. Then I added a Layered Vine Border Die-namics, using Sour Apple card stock and Jellybean Green card stock. Next I cut out a LJD Vintage Frame Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and stamped the fancy frame from LJD Vintage Frames with Black Licorice ink. The sentiment was stamped with Razzle Berry ink and then popped up on foam. To finish if off, I added a few enamel dots.

The inside of this card also has another sentiment from LJD Vintage Frames.
